Happy anniversary Nat!
Cake is amazing Mrs.S!!!
My sister online dated for 4 years, it is hard! She is currently with a man she met at work.
Cleaner coming to help tomorrow. So happy...it is going to be hard to give it up...but necessary. Sister is going to help me work in the garden all day. Yay four hands pulling weeds.
Hanging on to summer savings!!! Kind of like one of those Wheel of fortune puzzles with the double meaning.Last edited by Granger; Mon, Jul 28th, 2014 at 06:10 PM.

Just popped out to walmart. Spent $10 on Greek yogurt but should do me for the month. Now to make my oatmeal for breakfast. Trying to get back on my clean eating plan. Takes a bit to get organized but so worth it. And I want new clothes so need to get back at it so I can go shopping.

Ashley, I agree with many of the other ladies advice and would add one more thing that has perhaps been hinted at already. I know you do work extremely hard and spend a lot of time with family. Do you have some special hobbies or interests or groups you could or would like to attend? It would seem to me if you hang out in places where men with common interests might hang out-eg grocery store as somebody said, library, coffee shop, beach, park etc-these are just some ideas depending on your interests and comfort level. If you are comfortable go on a holiday or weekend away alone sometime or with a girlfriend who is also looking for a potential future partner and see what happens. What I am trying to say is if you spend most of your time working with your family and living with your Mum you might have to think out of the box in order to meet men who won't be scared off by your family committments-they may fear you don't have time for them?? Don't know-just my thoughts and I really hope you do meet the perfect match as I know you would like to have a family in the future. I was travelling alone around Europe and met my husband when staying at the youth hostel in Dublin 34 years ago. I agree with what some others say that online intros may be hard because you don`t as easily know if that instant attraction is there for both parties-mind you many modern couples do meet this way. I think back in the olden days people met at church or community social functions but times have changed for many people.

Evening All,
Ds1 has an appointment tomorrow at 4pm with his ADHD specialist, going to perhaps as if he can write a note stating how ADHD affect his daily struggles/limitations so that perhaps I can forward to DTC if required. As we are now on application #3 which is so frustrating but on a positive note CRA acknowledged verbally reciept on this attempt.
Last week you may recall dh had an appointment and so did Logan with our new family gp. She seemed like a completely different person that she was the time before (head shake), dh was asking for referalls to receive treatments etc for his back condition but he was very specific on what information and test are require for WSIB and she said no. She accused my hubby who is the most morale person (true story) I know of asking her and other doctors to lie, she totally blew his concerns and requests off, dh got very upset with her and raised his voice and she got flustered and unwilling to listen from that point on. His WSIB got denied a week ago as he requires further documents, reports, test etc to prove his physical deteriorations/limitations but she flat out is unwilling to make those referalls. DH wants to find another gp as he is very insulted and rightfully so given her behaviour and accusations....DH is in the works of completing an application for CPPD (canada pension plan disability) but is very reluctant to have her fill out the paperwork however he has no one else to do so. (hair pulling).
As previously mentioned we went to the cottage on Friday am and came back yesterday evening, the boys had a good time swimming etc but Charlotte was very disoriented and her head was and still is the size of a large baseball with minor leakage, her eye was swollen shut and full of pus, we decided to leave yesterday instead of today (Monday) as she had gotten worse since her visit to the doctor on Thursday late afternoon but she is doing much better today, however, not fully herself.
Also while at the cottage, a stupid stick which dh said there was no way that could have happened as the stick was vertical but the stupid stick miraculously turned horizontal and broke the bracket that holds the front headlight.....anyways something else that needs to be fixed because if pulled over by the cops we will be given a short amount of time to fix and if at the cottage that won't be feasible given the fact that there are not garages anywhere nearby. We could take a chance but time will tell what we decide.
It seems unfortunately things are going from bad to worse and I'm getting emotionally drained.
CRA deposited funds into my account for Logan eventhough he was not approved and now I owe them $ which is ty as things were/are tight we used quite a bit of that $ not knowing we were not entitled this $.....and now I am stressed as this is something else to add to the list of hair pulling things that are/have been happening.
Anyways that is the update on my beautiful life and recent turn of events.Last edited by jasperandchar; Mon, Jul 28th, 2014 at 09:09 PM.

Such a horriffic tragedy in that London Costco store. My sister, who lives overseas, knows the family, and I share her shock and horror that a young family can be mowed down by a car in the blink of an eye. Our thoughts are with that family as they cope with an unthinkable and devastating tragedy. May they have the strength they need to get through their loss.

So that dad picked up the little girl and was ready to head out the door. I pointed out to him that today is the last day that his daughter is coming in July, so I asked about payment. I told him the amount. He said that he can drop by with a cheque tomorrow. As long as I get paid I'm not going to complain. Her next scheduled day is August 5th, if they don't pay by then it will be a whole other issue.

A terrible situation, for sure. Prayers for the family.
Hope the baby is okay...
