Election day is Monday, October 27. First advance poll day is this Thursday in Hamilton (Oct. 9). If you don't have your voter card, check online to see that you are on the list and where your advance poll(s) is (are).

In Burlington, residents' online voting opened on Oct. 2. Advance poll opens on Oct. 8.

I am jealous of their internet voting

If you are interested in what the candidates believe for the Hamilton wards/mayor, Joey Coleman has been streaming candidate debates and putting up joeycoleman.ca

Since I don't have Cable 14 and CPAC (really miss that station with its riding walks and talks with residents about issues/candidates), I'll have a look at Joey's site to see what I missed a week ago. I went with new candidates.

I think Internet voting would be lovely as an option for those who cannot make it to polls. When I went to vote on Thursday, one of two tabulators was not working.

Noticed that the elector list when you get your name checked first, the pages are single-sided legal pages. The list used to give out ballots is double-sided legal paper and the names are not bold-faced like the provincial elector lists were (and they were single-sided on yellow paper for easier reading). Most of electors were in the L-Z list, and the other poll clerk had no one waiting for a ballot. This was before 11am.
Black Sharpies for marking the ovals were provided, not pencils.

Not in Hamilton, but your thread reminded me about early voting.
Will look up our dates for early polls.
    Thx.

I think pencils are no longer being used to stop election fraud, easier to ask for a new ballot form if you make a mistake than know if it was erased by the voter or someone else
