I have an email coupon $20 off when you spend $75 or more. I thought I could put $190 worth of stuff in my cart, ring it through, give coupon for $20 off, subtotal is $170 and then redeem points. Will the cashier let me do that? The fine print actually says that it's $75 before taxes and after discounts and redemptions so I think the answer is no...
Thank you so much for your advice - I tried searching for the answer but couldn't see my specific question...This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Ok, based on the fine print I think you are both right...just wanted to confirm. I'm sure I could spend $245 - lol! But need to make sure I am getting good deals. Thank you for replying so fast!

Well, I just saw your post now Savvylady and I'm back from my shop. Didn't try it as I didn't think it was the correct usage. Got the few things I really needed to get some people crossed off my gift list so I am happy now. Thanks again for the responses!

I had 20 off 60 and used it my total before coupon was 187 so 167 after coupon so added one more item to be over 170 before taxes redeemed points and paid the rest which was mostly tax
So not sure if I was lucky but it worked for me...Last edited by puska; Sat, Dec 20th, 2014 at 01:11 PM.

The way I see it.. If system allows it than you aren't doing anything wrong. ☺

That may be the way you see, but the way I see it , if those two things were meant to be used in conjunction, then they would have just had another bonus redemption. There are lots of things that "the system" would allow, which is why points are added later in many cases, and adjudicated by human beings.

Not sure why are you so bothered with this... Didn't see you being SDM lawyer in case of blatantly using milk coupon for milk that clearly isn't meant for...
No offence to people who used milk coupon I have nothing against it

There are so many combinations of coupons, offers, points and promotions that I feel the same way as puska..I was told by the cashiers and managers that if the system takes it then it's fine..my cashiers are great they try what ever I ask them, usually it works, if it doesn't not a problem, I either take it or leave it and wait for the next promotion...
