Im too afraid. I dont like the city that much. I always get lost and you have to pay for parking. I wouldnt be able to handle people pushing me and running me over with there carts. It would make me way too crabby! Good Luck to all who venture out. I hope you get great deals and no bruises

The bread, milk, eggs, and pasta are for the first 150 customers and its 1 per customer. the milk is only a 1 litre. Yes theyre great deals but its not worth sitting out in the cold for hours waiting in line

Wow, that's amazing!

my mom is at honest ed's at the moment and i just called her to see if it was packed.
surprisingly, she said it's not that packed but is noticing more and more people are coming in. there were no more eggs for sale though by the time she got there (around 12pm).
she said there are lot of news reporters there and asked me to turn the tv on and look for her. lmao.
anyhoo, she did manage to pick up some plates that where $0.10 each.

i actually went today and not to be a party pooper or anything but the deals are acutally not that great. sure, there are a few things but most of whats advertised on this site are no longer available at all. Like all those food products and shirts and socks? Nada. Zip. All Gone. It sucks. The exact same things ARE still there only with labels of much higher prices. Not expensive but not the inexpensive either. Like instead of apple juice being "17 cents", i saw the exact thing being "1.29" like it regularly is in grocery stores.
And the lines. Don't even get me started about the lines. IT WAS TERRIBLE. Get ready to stand there for hours and yelled at by rude people. Not workers, but other customers. Extremely rude and rough and mean. Just plain rude and mean.
I'm not saying u'll all meet people like i did. I'm just sharing my experience and sayiing that if i did, chances are high others will too. I felt like I was being harassed by the people standing in line around me for hours. It was horrible. The cashiers were nice enough though. It was a real change to be smiled at once in a while after the long, exhausting line up of rudeness.Thank you! ~Opshka!

I think it would be great to get the "deals" but not worth the wait, the anxiety attack from all the people wanting to save a buck and wondering if my homeschooled 10 year old son has spent all my money on things he finds... LOL. We have never been there, and a 2 hour trip to the city isn't likely to happen when it's a sale like this. My mind keeps thinking back to "black Friday" in the USA this past Nov. when the young man working at Walmart got trampled to death because of bargain beasties bursting through the door. I am the most frugal person I know (well, now that I am a member on SC I know there are more out there...LOL) but saving a buck or two isn't worth a person's life. I would like to try out Honest Ed's at some point, sounds interesting.
