For those interested, here is what wenbo posted on the canucks site after contacting Y108:
This is what I was told today by Corus.
"The points system is still available until the end of the year but we are not publicly supporting it anymore."
So I guess we can still do what we normally do and still enter contests until the end of the year and then it's done.
It would have been nice if Y108 had been clearer on this subject a few months ago instead of mindlessly declaring a false deadline. :rant:
I guess the only real difference between what is happening now and what has been happening over the past few months is that we don't get the weekly "win prizes" 5k points any more (and perhaps no on-site bonus codes either).
Out of curiosity, in case there is anybody out there beyond the half dozen of us that seem to still visit this page, does anybody recognize the winners of past prizes by the details posted on the Y108 site? I'm wondering because it is not clear who we are competing with beyond other Y108 members. A few hours ago, I compared prizes between Y108 and Q107 and they are different (if there is overlap, it isn't much). I was surprised by that finding as I just assumed the prizes were the same on all the Corus sites.
