It is raining out...
Don't let the weather get you down...
Why not jump in every puddle you see?

HOW TO CALL THE POLICE WHEN YOU'RE OLD, AND DON'T MOVE FAST ANYMORE.
George Phillips, an elderly man, from Walled Lake, Michigan, was going up to bed, when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window. George opened the back door to go turn off the light, but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things.
He phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?"
He said "No," but some people are breaking into my garden shed and stealing from me.
Then the police dispatcher said "All patrols are busy. You should lock your doors and an officer will be along when one is available"
George said, "Okay."
He hung up the phone and counted to 30. Then he phoned the police again.
"Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed. Well, you don't have to worry about them now because I just shot and killed them both, the dogs are eating them right now." and he hung up.
Within five minutes, six Police Cars, a SWAT Team, a Helicopter, two Fire Trucks, a Paramedic, and an Ambulance showed up at the Phillips' residence, and caught the burglars red-handed.
One of the Policemen said to George, "I thought you said that you'd shot them!"
George said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!"
Don't mess with old people.

Bizarre beauty treatments
by Fashionism.ca
We’re familiar with the ever-growing range of skin care options at the drugstore: pricy pots of toner, tubes of moisturizer, wrinkle reducing creams. But what about some less heard of treatments? We take a look at ten of the most bizarre skin care remedies on earth.
10. Pig’s Feet Collagen Diet
Having originated in Tokyo, the craze for collagen rich foods has been taken to extremes at New York eatery Hakata Tonton, where you can order pig’s trotters with just about everything. According to some – including, unsurprisingly, the restaurant’s owner Himi Okajima – pig’s feet contain plentiful supplies of collagen, the protein that gradually depletes as we grow older, creating wrinkles and saggy skin. Boosting collagen reserves can, it is claimed, combat the signs of aging. But really, pig’s feet salad? (credit: Cory Doctorow)

9. Snake Venom Wrinkle Cream
Billed as a budget Botox with no needles, the synthetic version of the venom of the Asian temple viper snake has been a popular treatment cream for wrinkles since it hit the shelves a couple of years ago. The mixture, known as Syn-Ake, paralyzes nerve signals just as a poisonous snake bite would, stopping facial muscles from contracting and helping to keep the skin smooth. Various products containing the compound are available, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Hilary Swank among its famous fans. (credit: David Sledge )

8. Nightingale Poop Facial
‘Uguisu no fun’, or nightingale feces, has been in used in Japan as a skin care treatment and makeup remover for hundreds of years. Recently, its use has spread to the West, where beauticians claim that the guanine enzyme found in the bird poop has powerful toning, bleaching and cleansing properties. The so-called ‘geisha facial’ has proved to be popular – and expensive ($180 for 1 hour) – in New York and London, and its converts include David and Victoria Beckham. (credit: Charles Lam)

7. Leech Therapy
The medicinal leech, or Hirudo medicinalis, has a long history of use in the West, and played an important part in European medicine for hundreds of years. It was once believed that by allowing the leech to suck out a patient’s blood, balance could be restored to the body’s ‘humors’. Nowadays, the humble parasite is making a comeback – helping to detoxify the blood and stimulate severed body parts during surgery. It's particularly popular in Austria, and Demi Moore has admitted to using the therapy. (credit: Karl Ragnar Gjertsen)

6. Placenta Cream
Placenta cream has a long and illustrious history, with many swearing by it for its anti-aging and moisturizing virtues. Based on sheep placenta cells, the creams and lotions are chiefly used to combat wrinkles and to provide nourishment to dry facial skin. Sometimes known as ‘living cell therapy’, it is claimed that the more recent cells present in the topical creams invigorate the older cells, creating a rejuvenating effect. 5. Cupping
The ancient technique of fire cupping (or just ‘cupping’) stretches back thousands of years, with records of its use in China, Egypt and Ancient Greece. The rather scary looking ‘acupressure’ procedure is based on the theory that the body will be stimulated and invigorated by placing heated cups on the skin, creating a suction that allows energy to flow more freely. Cupping has also been used to treat colds, bronchitis, asthma and gynecological diseases. Fans of the treatment report a deep feeling of relaxation afterward. (credit: Alanna Ralph)

4. Gold Facial
For a truly pampered visit to the beauticians, what could possibly be more luxurious than a gold facial? Based on ancient Indian Ayurvedic medicine and the Egyptian belief that gold is the elixir of youth, the treatment – known as chrysotherapy – certainly makes quite a statement. The theory is that the gold particles present in the facial creams and toners accelerate skin cell growth, leaving the face glowing and radiant. So, if you can afford it, and you want to work on your sun goddess look, going for gold could be the answer. (credit: Yann Feron/Michael Brittain)

3. Snail Slime Moisturizer
Some women will go to any lengths for younger, healthier looking skin. But surely layering on snail slime has to be a step too far? Well, apparently not. Slime from Chilean snails added to a base cream to form a new treatment has become surprisingly popular in recent years, being used to assist with scarring, acne and wrinkles. Some evidence has been found to support the slime’s use as a moisturizer, but so far its supporters' claim that it has a regenerative effect looks somewhat off-target. (credit: Matt Baume )

2. Bull’s Semen Hair Treatment
Now this must be a load of bull, surely? Customers paying inflated prices to have animal ‘protein’ massaged into their scalp? Well, incredibly, no. Hari’s, an upmarket London hair salon, has caused quite a stir by offering a hair conditioning treatment based on the semen of the Aberdeen Angus bull. The animal’s ‘organically produced’ material – high in hair’s natural ingredient keratin – is mixed with plant extract and applied to the head after shampooing. Its devotees call it ‘the Viagra of hair treatments.’ Well, at least you don’t have to buy it dinner first. (credit: Robert Scarth)

1. Flesh Eating Fish Pedicure
Garra rufa, or ‘doctor fish’, have long been known of in Asia and Turkey, where the tiny critters originally bred in and around warm water health spas and fed on the dead skin of psoriasis patients' feet. The toothless fish ignore living skin tissue and gently pull dead skin away. In the last few years, doctor fish spa resorts have opened for business across the Far East, Europe and the US. However, animal rights groups have expressed concern about the conditions the fish are kept in, and in some American states and Canadian provinces the practice is banned. (credit: Emilio Labrador)

Country Power Couples
A power couple could be any duo in which both partners have exceptionally successful careers of their own. In the world of country music, the term is typically applied to trendsetting tandems where at least one is a popular singer yet both have serious juice within the entertainment business. It's got less to do bank accounts than respect and influence.
Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher might seem like worthy candidates with Underwood now earning more than all other American Idol winners combined but until her hockey playing hubby raises his game with the Nashville Predators, they're sadly out of contention. Here's who they're up against.

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman
A few years back no one would've believed that a pair of Aussie cuties would be sitting atop the list of Nashville's most powerful twosomes but guitar-slinging hit-machine Keith Urban and his Hollywood leading lady Nicole Kidman have scooted their way up the ladder of success with remarkable speed and grace. They could be there for awhile. (credit: Getty Images)
