Thanks for the words and codes.
I am just home from a friend and colleague's funeral.
It was very sudden and unexpected. I found out the details today.

He spent his last afternoon at the legion (regular Saturday afternoon ritual)
His daughter picked him up and they stopped a got some wings to go.
He shared his wings and a couple of hours with his youngest granddaughters before they went to bed.
His Son in law found him a couple of hours later.
Nestled into his big comfy chair, beer at his side.
TV still playing the kids shows.
Sounds perfect to me.

I didn't mean to be a downer, I think it's a great story.
Carl was 74 years young, loved his moosehead almost as much as his grand kids.
His eldest grandson is recently back from a combat tour in Afghanistan.
Following in his father's footsteps, who is a medic in the reserve and has already done two teaching tours.
I think there were more people at the wake (at the legion of course) than at the service. Easily over 300.
He was a well loved man, and will never be forgotten.

And when I go, I hope its chicken wings and beer from my new girlfriend!
