Yes, she knew in advance. She now has 3 boys and 1 girl. My brother came over for supper and said that my friend is already home because he waved to her when he parked his truck. I'm teaching tomorrow, so I will likely visit her on the weekend.

well im getting no where and somewhere all at the same time in crocheting.
decided to just wing some stitches off youtube, didnt' hurt to try new stitches.
im hoping to grab a few hard copy patterns at my local group.
really need to see what a real pattern looks like.

going to brave the weather tomorrow need a few things.
have a pickup hopefully in the morning of a blanket my mom made.

If you`re looking for tutorials...Mikey from the Crochet Crowd is good. I find him easy to follow. He is at Spinrite Outlet quite often. There are lots of free patterns to download from the internet. Buying pattern books can get very expensive. I hate when I find a pattern I like but I know I`ll only use the one.

    Good morning, everyone.

Yippee, the storm seems to have passed by me, just a trace of the white stuff on the ground. The wind did keep us up, however, it was shaking the windows so badly, the critters kept checking to make sure someone wasn't trying to get it.

I have so many things to do today, but my energy and motivation have been blown away.

And if I keep speaking in couplets, I think the brats might have to send me to be reversed. Yes, I know, groan.

I think it's going to be a long day.

    Hope everyone enjoys their day.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Pretty quiet week here, trying to get back into the swing of things. Going to work isn't hard, it is the getting up, I am blaming the weather it has left me with no ambition to get up in the morning. Most mornings I have not made it into work until about 7. My meeting with a customer this week was cancelled due to bad weather so that day I wasn't in the office until almost 8 because when I got the email I was at home in my sweats working on my lap top before going to meet our Sales Manager but I am impressed in under 45 minutes I got ready (hair, make-up and dressed) made a lunch, clean off my car and made it to work (15 minute drive).

Not much has been going on at home this week, I managed to clean our TV unit and that is about it. Most nights have been filled with catching up on work and various other tasks so this weekend we are going to have to go at it full steam as our time is running out. By Feb 1st, Mom has to have everything out of storage which means it needs to fit into our house.

Will probably run into No Frills tonight after work to grab a few things they have on sale Mom's bread, fries and a couple other things I cannot remember. Hoping they have stock as our store can be hit and miss on sales or just sold out by the time I get off work.

Would really love to see a break in this weather it has been quite rude going outside especially since today is the first day we have been able to print in our office, some how our printer got messed up over break so we have had to print in the front office and walk back and forth for our orders.

Off to work on my manuals for work, have a great day everyone.

SA- great to hear it sounds like your office hours are becoming a bit shorter or more typical even though you are doing some work from home in your jammies! Way more relaxing! It would be nice if you could work one day a week from home!!

HA Crochetlady.. "Mikey" is amazing .
i learned 4 different stitches last night alone.

went to the grocery store, first time in a week. yay.
everything we needed was on sale. $60 OOP. 6 bags worth.
we still have tons of meats/taters/cereal. so saved on those.

had a pick up this morning on my moms crocheted blanket. so happy. mom told me to keep the $.

Having a rather productive day here. It`s amazing what 2 good nights sleep in a row can do.
Should have got out and shoveled snow but crocheting was easier and needs to be done. lol I`ll wait til it`s done snowing.

So I decided to use this weather to my advantage, I just hauled everything out of the freezer. It's sitting outside while the freezer defrosts. What a great way to use up stuff you forgot was there. Logan especially liked my offer of chocolate chip waffles for dinner. When I put it back in I'll report the number of packages of bacon, it's a lot.

My god. Propane makes me want to cry. We got our propane bill for Dec. We weren't home for the last 12 days so heat was only at 15 degrees Celsius for that time and it was still a 500 dollar bill.

Oh Saundyl, OUCH that is a lot of money for heat. I guess that is the price you pay for living so far north but wow, that is crazy.

I was booked in advance for today and had to turn down 3 other calls to teach today. I am booked to teach Monday, 1hr away, where I taught for 6 days before Christmas break. Good start to the new year.
