Of course I read this AFTER I sign up for a freebie and realize it's a fake when I receive a scan of a coupon that will not be accepted. Doh! Thanx for trying to prevent us from making big mistakes!

Good post. I never give out my real name & only use an email address that I very rarely use. Also, I never give out my personal telephone number as it is unlisted. I use to have a pager, so I use to give out that one, now I just give them my fax # which is on the smart ring line with an answering machine. If I ever did win a legitimate contest, @ least I would be notified.
