Oh J and C-if only I had a meal plan I would post! I seem to plan day by day based on what we feel like and what is in our pantry and freezer. Sounds like a yummy dinner at your house! We are having BBQ brats( sausages not kids) on buns, with stir fired Indian cabbage, Asian noodles and maybe cookies for dessert if DD makes some-we don't really celebrate Valentine's too much and eat at home too.

lizzie & coupon girl I wish I could go day by day with the meals but if I don't plan ahead I find I'm scrambling and end up cooking chicken fingers (lol) which is okay once in a while but not everyday . I'll get there one day and it will be great

I'm going to make a huge pot of soup early this week so that I have something nice & light AND healthy to eat while recovering from surgery or surgeries depending on whether they do my right armpit along with my gullbladder on Thursday - it will be a surprise as I won't know until I wake up if it's been done or not BUT regardless I am going in with the mindset that it will be done so I need to prepare ahead of time with meals, etc. so that dh can just rewarm or make simple things as he is really into cooking but he can.

Lunches for dh & I will be chili and/or homemade soup

Tomorrow / Sunday - roast pork, with brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes and gravy

Monday - shake n' bake chicken w/ roasted potatoes

Tuesday - western sandwiches for adults and grilled cheese for kiddos

Wednesday- pork loin cut into boneless pork chops

Thursday - chicken burgers as it's the day of my surgery so something easy for dh to prepare

    Friday - bbq ribs

Saturday - macaroni casserole w/ ground beef and dh will make extra burgers as my ground beef packages are a bit big

Glad you are all having a nice day/evening.
We're just settling in for the rest of our evening.
Milan came over for supper, we ordered in Chinese food. Wow, there was TONS in each container, some of them couldn't close. So we ate our full, Milan took home enough for two meals, and there will be more than enough for my husband and me to have supper tomorrow.
So the men went and put on 'new-to-us' tires on our van - paid 80 for four. Husband really noticed the difference. We had a snowstorm today, so it was a great day to test!
Then Milan shovelled before we ate, so that was wonderful.
We had a nice visit catching up, and he left to drive the couple who lives upstairs from him to their Valentine's night out.

. Then went to superstore for tax free day. Bought lots of school snacks for kids ( hid most of it!) and some other specials. Nice huge cantalope for .99. Asparagus for $1.99lb. Etc. Brought home a nice haul for $32 [/QUOTE]

Were you shopping with my dh? He came home with a cantalope and asparagus too! (He also came back with a lovely bouquet of roses!) I only went out to take the dogs for a 3 minute walk several times today.

I'm sure the dear lord will understand if my prayers come from inside my own home tomorrow morning! (Already phoned db to tell him we're not going - so he won't phone me at 9:00 while I'm snoozing to see if we're going.)

I haven't been through the flyers and coups+sales yet. Our cupboards, fridge and freezer are so full that the frozen pizzas had to be put ON TOP of the freezer in the garage today.

I'm heading off to bed. (To see if I can sleep) - Nat - your sleep patterns and mine are very similar!

    Good night folks!

    how ironic.

im trying so hard to stay awake, so much to do. after maybe 2 hours sleep last night, im in such a fog.
I just noticed when I was in the play in Nov. that the make-up artists made sure they put eyebrow pencil on that MY eyebrows are disappearing too! I've never done ANYTHING to my eyebrows after the first time I tried plucking them and found out that it HURT! So I have bought an eyebrow pencil and now I come out looking like a Hoochy-Koochy girl if I use it.

Nat! We had Chinese food too! And finished off a Valentine's cupcake (heavy emphasis on the "cake" part) that DH's sister gave us yesterday.
I'm going to head to bed, for real - I think!

It's just after 10 and I'm going to give sleep a try, too.

If nothing else, these old bones and sore muscles will get a break!

The two kitties are sleeping at my feet, curled up in each other - by the register, on a folded up quilt. Taffy snores once in a while, so it's cute - the sound is like an oooh, oooh, oooh... (lol, too hard to describe!).

    Good morning, everyone.

Happy 50% off Valentine chocolate day!

    Oh and Happy Flag Day!

Have to run, I managed to triple book myself (brunch then a friend's b-day celebration then dinner followed by a play). I'm hoping the running around will burn off all the calories.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

good morning all, its freakin cold out...
    yesterday was..... fun.
we had planned, should i say *I* planned to go to movie, dinner then out dancing..
due to ds's interview, dh took him to Saturday morning that meant he had to get a nap in, as he got in late and needed sleep.
i knew 4 hours wasn't going to cut it 3/4 through our night.. so i let him nap when we should have been watching the movie.
so needless to say we got the movies around 330/4. to find it all sold out. except for two time slots.
the one right then, 20 seats left. ya all know that means one here... one there...
so we swapped our tickets for the 7 oclock show.. and said we'll be back at 6.

well everyone else had the same idea.. lol
we went for a walk through the mall.. had a small dinner at one of the kiosk in the food court. then slowly headed back.
we go there about 10 to 6 and there was already a line up.
45 minutes later we were let in.. wow.
    it was packed!!!

While i never in my head 'thought this one out' i really didnt' expect to be as 'weirded out' as i was. we went to see you guess it..

50 shades. (i read a local review in our paper from a guy who said it was nothing what he expected, he was disappointed) so i was like. oh ok worst is i don't like it. this guy must have shut his eyes through the whole thing. LOL
minus the 2 20somethings sitting next to dh who obviously were 'new' to this type of movie. the guy next to me who couldn't sit still, kept checking his phone, the girl 3 ppl over who was eating some very crunchy snack. OMG Cr U n C h ** cR Un cH.. through out..

it was 2 hours of... OMG im sitting here with 200? ppl watching this.. don't get me wrong i loved the movie (as i read the books)
you can only imagine what was going through everyone's minds. it was 'hear a pin drop' quiet except for the occasional laughs at the females jokes.
and once when dh made a hilarious comment JUST as the character said something and the whole room went quiet.. OMG the laughter over his comment in the theatre..
    WAY too funny..
so anyway. im in my head going through the stories in the book. yep. check. yep. check. fully waiting for the next scene from book 2 as i knew what was coming next..
    the movie freaking ends!
SO there better be a sequel.

anyway, we come out to find cop cars everywhere.. (no cops just their cars all over the parking lot)?? never found out what happened
    and cold @@ !

decided to call my kids while dh was cleaning the car.. and one was home, he'd gone skating, too cold so his 'girlfriend' went home early as did he, my other went to go out. at the same time we were talking to ds1, ds2 called, change of plans too cold going to friends home. cool.
we changed our mind on dancing, too tired, asked ds if he wanted to go the casino.?where that came from im not sure.
we headed home to get him. my hubby said lets call ds2 back invite him too.
so we ended up picking him and his friend up and took them all to the casino..
nothing gained nothing lost. good time for an 1.5 hang out.
we then went for a late night snack at McD;s.
then headed home, dropped off friend.

they all thanked us profusely for the evening. headed home to bed. 1am... yawwn. !
so ya that was our evening. from one planned night to another fun evening..
anyway. im done rambling. now to work on what didnt' get done yesterday. dh's off tomorrow. surprise. yay!

    Be True
    Be You.

Picked up the mail from Friday before the cold hit on Saturday, it was a nice mail day. 8 Vector FPCs, would have liked these before Friday since I had a PC Plus offer for 800 points for each box of Vector. I looked back at my offers used and see I had this one a month ago when 1 bought the cereal so hopefully it comes back. I don’t need any cereal at this moment so I will just hold onto them. I also used my Oasis FPC and had an offer of 400 points. Sweet to get points on a free product.
The best part of the mail is that our vehicle insurance renewal arrived and it has dropped by 35.00 a month. I think it is because DHs monster speeding ticket is now cleared.
