Fantastic post Jester and very timely! Whiner!!! We all enjoy the contests, but if we do not like the station we change the dial! Complaining here once or twice is fine but incessantly just becomes too much! I enjoy the Q107 SC blog here, but I don't listen to the station nor do I enter the contests, but I would never keep bad mouthing the station and keep posting here as well! Sometimes we just have to grow up and move on! There are quite a number of stations on the dial, easy to find a new one!

I was really glad to hear that Mike Cooper is retiring I guess that is why Jay Michaels was doing the new year show to see how people react to him.

There comes a time when you should realize that if you don't have something nice to say, maybe you shouldn't say anything at all. If you don't like the station, don't listen.

Totally agree. Could there be a more down-to-earth, self-deprecating, humorous
host than Mike Cooper? And that deep voice...perfect for radio.
Always loved the way Erin and Mike worked together. In a way, the two
represented a good slice of the public: she, the more researched, serious
and linguistic if the two, he, less so. What I especially liked was the way their
banter was in obvious good fun, never condescending or malicious, in fact,
she often graciously 'covered' his little slips.
Personally, I'll miss them together.

it's the end of an era. he's had a long and wonderful career. i don't listen to chfi often but i agree that he has a great radio voice. he and erin are a great team.
