Cockfighting rooster kills man

A California man died last month after a rooster with a knife strapped to its limbs stabbed him in the leg, authorities said.
The Bakersfield Californian reports Jose Luis Ochoa, 35, died in hospital on Jan. 30. He reportedly waited two hours before he sought medical attention.
A coroner's report released Wednesday shows he died from an injury to his right calf.
"I have never seen this type of incident," Sgt. Martin King, a 24-year veteran of the force, told the local newspaper.
King said the bird might have cut a major artery.
"People have been known to bleed out from those injuries if medical attention is not obtained immediately."
Police allege the accident happened at an illegal cockfight, though they haven't made any arrests in connection with the event.
Police arrived at the scene after a complaint from an anonymous tipster. They found five dead roosters.

I can't stop laughing! I'm with you ecat. Think of this as cleaning up the gene pool or taking out the trash. I also love it when hunters shoot each other, but that's just me.
