Not sure if a few days will give you enough time to count all 1000 islands, but enjoy the beauty none the less! Have a great trip!

Thanks for all the lovely wishes - and there's way more than 1000, 1800+ if I remember. I highly recommend the longer cruise that stops at Boldt Castle on Heart Island for 2 hours (you need your passport because it's American soil). It's not enough time believe it or not. I like the island grounds and the outside of the castle more than the inside - all that beautiful stone work. If you go, be sure to bring a sweatshirt or something. It gets quite cool on the ship, regardless of the temperature, because of the wind chill. We wanted the upper deck, so we could view the scenery without looking through a window. There is a canopy, so you're out of the sun. We had trouble finding a spot when we boarded because everyone else thought the same thing. But as soon as the ship got going, many people left us for the enclosed deck because they were so cold. I think the capacity is 62, and there ended up being about 20. Hey, more room for us
