Still floating...have not stepped on a scale for a bit. But I also have been drinking Coke. Since I don't drink coffee I have been have a can of the nasty once a day to help keep me going during the season of I am a crazy person, as I am working, studying, raising my kids. I have not watched Netflix in 3 weeks. If you know me...this is unheard of. I am married to Netflix as my downtime activity. Now my down time is sleeping...oh and you guys!!!
Goals: get off the nasty next week...drink water only water...step on the scale...report back with yay I didn't gain 20 lbs only 2! (Hopefully!)"There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

I'm baaaaack! Ugh. I wasn't watching my diet before our trip because I was so nervous about it all, and we certainly didn't hold back on calories while vacationing. The result? We both feel pudgy, and have put on weight, so it's back to eating healthy again. Hubby's off to the grocery store today, then to Costco for meats that we separate and re-pack and freeze, lots of veggies and new recipes....I will get back into my pre-fall size!!
Congrats, Curt...doesn't that feel great? I'm going to get that feeling back next!

The fun is never over when it comes to dieting. I have a friend who has lost a great deal of weight on that Dr. Poon's Metabolic Diet. It is similar to Aitkens. No carbs, no root vegetables (in the beginning) It is a life style change, that you have to stick with. As we all know, it gets harder to diet in our mature & wisdom phase of life.
I guess you have to do, what works for you. Good luck & keep the faith.

Went 5 days, no Coke. Enjoying one tonight as a treat and then back to resisting. Stepped on scale. Weight gain is on par for a healthy pregnancy! =not porkin' out!

Curt?? where did you disappear to?? ( lol ) skinny joke! Wow you've earned my respect big time. Fantastic results!
I on the other hand am not losing ( going on my 3rd week at least! ), not gaining, but in a holding pattern. Can have me in the dumps on some days, but I am really enjoying the Playoffs!

Stepped on scale this morning. Happily gaining at about 0.5 per week. Total gained = 13.5 lbs. 13 weeks to go. 20 lbs would be a healthy and reasonable weight gain for me. Starting to feel round rather than frumpy and wavy in the belly department so that is nice! Will post some pics here and in frugal chatter after my May maternity shop! I have coupons for Thyme $50 of WUS $100 and as this is my first summer baby, no clothes from previous pregnancies as I was in regular clothing for the summers of the last two!

I'm still losing weight (30 pound loss now), but since there is hardly any activity in this thread, I just haven't been bothering posting my weight loss. I was hoping I could be an inspiration with ones who are struggling with their weight, but I guess not.
It's nice people are giving me positive remarks about my weight, and I feel a little bit better, but not as much as I was hoping. I'm still pretty miserable, but I will continue on trying to lose the last of it.

Oh Curt! I wish you were more euphoric over your success. I think I can speak for the others here when I say we are green with envy at your weight loss! No, I'm just kidding, most of us have struggled off and on our diet plans for months now while you have quietly plodded along doing just what we should have been doing.....LOSING! Your loss of 30 pounds is quite an accomplishment, stand tall and proud over that.
