Had 95 Air Miles to use ($10) but could not find anything to buy while shopping in Metro. Bought a $25 Metro gift card when I noticed that the gift card is good at Metro and Food Basics. Will use it when Food Basics has a great sale.

$25 gift card -$10 miles points = $15 out of pocket

Took my daughter over to the La Senza outlet in Pickering last week. Forgot how good the deals are there relative to the regular retail stores, and a really good selection of styles and sizes. So we agreed it was time to do some purging of the old ratty bras and underwear and get some new stuff. Between us we got 10 bras, plus 5 undies and 1 lounging type top for her. Total w/ tax was approx. $170. Not bad given most of these bras were reg price $27.50-$42.50 (although I think that's a bit crazy to begin with). Sale prices for the bras were either $9.99 or $12.99, definitely cheaper than the clearance pricing on their website.

Today I went into RASS after work and they had medium ground beef on sale for 2.19/kg. Most packages were around 2.80 and I bought 6. When I told my mother she had me drive her back there and there was none left. The meat manager said they had 500lbs and sold out in 5 minutes of putting them out.

Rexall I found herbal essenses conditioner on clearance for $1.49 - there was 3 left. I used a 50 cent off coupon for 1, and $1.50 off coupon for the other two - making it $2.00 for all three!
Also I took advantage of their $15.00 gift card offer when you buy $50 worth of stuff. I got 4 boxes of hair dye on for $6.99 (saved $1 off each on zweet), 3 packs of toilet paper each $2.99 and fructis shampoo and conditioner x 4 at $2.49 minus $1 off coupons (saved another $1 off each on zweet) and the herbal essenses conditioner (4 chocolate bars too) to make the bill around $55. Redeemed air miles for $20 off.
Then I used the $15 gift card right away to buy 3 more packs of toilet paper and 2 boxes of kitty litter deodorizer.
Saved a total of $49 on the whole purchase.

You are welcome. I asked at customer service and they said yes. The cashier did not think it would work.

Scanned the Metro/Food Basics gift card.
    Redeemed the points
    Paid the balance in cash.

No Air Miles were earned though.

You can also use airmail points for gift cards, you can get them off their main website...

    Pledge floor cleaner - 7$ + 7$ back on snap = FREE
    2 Scrubbing bubbles - 2/6$ + B1G1 free coupon + 5$ back on snap = RECEIVED 2$
    2 Bottles of Fleecy Fabric softner in clearance (90 loads, reg 8$) - 2$ each = 4$

Yes, it was indeed! Sucks the 'fresh air' scent was all sold out, or I could have used my 1$ coupon as well! hahah
