CH Morning Live mentioned GO Transit's Sept 5 changes-the Hwy 407 West bus will be connecting Hamilton to Pearson Toronto airport. Not sure what McMaster U commuters or those in Burlington on Upper Middle are going to do as they are not shown on the new schedule. Just Hamilton GO, Oakville, Square One...

The morning show had a comment from a commuter who has already informed GO Transit of how the later departure times will impact her own commute connections.

They are changing many timetables, so that could have happened regardless of the route change. I had to either leave 25 mins earlier or catch a later train due to a 5 min change in the train times this summer.
It was not made clear on CH, but they are still running other 47 buses as well as the new 40 bus on the 407 corridor so riders at Mac or Burl Car Pool can catch the 47 towards Sq1 and change at Oakville or Sq1 to go to the airport.
Considering a taxi from Hamilton to Pearson is $85-100, the presto fare of $10.40 to the airport is amazing

One section of Concession Street is open; another will follow on Monday.

I noticed that the HSR mentions the street sections in its Bus News update.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Westfest is on in Westdale today, so the 5-West Hamilton/Delaware HSR route will be on detour.
Also note the bridge closure in Stoney Creek impacting the same route in the east-end.
Monday-the Labour Day parade in the morning will affect some downtown bus routes. See link below for details of all the detours:

Mom said something about King Street being affected too-so the James St. S portion between King and Main is also closed.

Note the mention of the Presto card issue as well. I noticed last week when paying cash fare that the Fare boxes had not been calibrated for the $2.75 fare-so it showed $2.55 then 20 cents over.
On Twitter, it was tweeted that Burlington Transit tickets can be purchased on McMaster's main campus through the Compass site (inside the MSU building).

I just use Presto on Burlington Transit, the fare boxes have been fixed, but Presto still has an issue where it is charging 15c for rides 12+ in a single week instead of free

I happened to see a news headline about Metrolinx hiking GO Fares and decreasing the UP Express fares on CH Morning Live.
However, it has yet to happen. There is a board meeting on Dec. 3-that is where the fares will be discussed.
Public can attend the meeting during the open session portion. http://www.metrolinx.com/en/docs/age...015_12_03.aspx

Today's Hamilton Spectator has a short blurb explaining the Main St W closure from Dec.27-30. It's to do with a crane coming down between Caroline and Bay St. Car and bus traffic will have to detour. I saw the posted sign near Dundurn and the flashing mobile sign at Main and Queen (empty lot formerly a gas station).
So expect to turn off of Main St. W. by the time you reach Caroline St. when travelling east between 6am and 6pm. on the days of detour.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Winter Bus News leaflet mentions the hours of New Year's Eve free transit after 6pm.
I got most of the Dec. 27 bus schedules that changed as of last Sunday through a visit downtown at the HSR GO station office.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
