Game over - Toronto 3 - Boston 4
Toronto currently 3 games ahead of the Yankees , pending the Yankee game later tonight.
Toronto loses the season series to the Red Sox 10 - 9.
KC Royals are currently up 10 - 3 on Detroit in the top of the 8th.
With a KC win, this would put the Jays down 2 games behind in the AL race.

For the life of me I cannot figure why the Jays have so much trouble beating the Red Sox.
This has been going on for too many years now.
Toronto has been cursed by them for the last six or seven years.
I am not aware of a Bambino curse against them.
The only good point is that we do not have to face them again this year.
Well maybe things will turn around next year.
I certainly hope that the next series against the Yankees turns out better than this series.
I am just so confused over this. Jays just seem to fall apart when playing Boston.
If anyone has an answer to my confusion, please let me know.
Cheers everyone

Jays have 13 games left in this season.
Three games against the Yankees at home.
Three against the Rays at home.
Four against the Orioles in Baltimore.
Three against the Rays in Tampa bay to close out the regular season.
Their magic number remains at twelve currently pending tonight's game with the Yankees against the Mets at Citi field .

Thank you to everyone for their very kind and positive support. Very tough weekend for my friends family and myself. Keeping the faith but so hard to when you see what he has gone through. Again thanks to
Zman, Hicks, HG, Romeo, DDD, Wolfie, Jester, Kawam, Kenrod, Lee, Rockit, TCC and Loocie for the positive vibes.Last edited by habs rule; Sun, Sep 20th, 2015 at 06:12 PM.
Feeling unknown and you're all alone, flesh and bones by the telephone,
lift up the receiver, I'll make you a believer!
Take second best, put me to the test, things on your chest, you need to confess!
I will deliver, you know I'm a forgiver!

A sweep against the Yankees could bring their magic number down to six.

I guess that the next three games will tell the tale of this season.
My only concern is that the Jays seem to be faltering in this stretch run.
Maybe its just a glitch, but unsettling just the same.
I guess that perhaps I expect too much from the Jays based on the way that they have played recently.
Their bats seem to have gone silent. I hope they can get back to their prior form.

Out of an obvious interest in the fate of the Blue Jays fortune in the current run for the AL East race, I will provide a summary of the inning by inning scoring summary of the Yankees - Mets game for this evening.
Not my usual detailed batter by batter summary, just an inning ending scores summary to keep you informed of the progress of the game
First inning - Mets 1 - Yankees 0
Second Inning - Mets 1 - Yankees 0
Third inning - Mets 1 - Yankees 0
Fourth inning - Mets 1 - Yankees 0
Fifth inning - Mets 1 - Yankees 0
Sixth Inning - Mets 1 - Yankees 5
Seventh Inning -Mets 1 - Yankees 6
Eighth inning - Mets 2 - Yankees 11
Ninth Inning - Mets 2 - Yankees 11
Final Score - Mets 2 - Yankees 11
Blue Jays now up by 2.5 games over the Yankees in the AL East.
I was under the impression that the Mets were supposed to be the class of the National league, but based on their performance in this series with the Yankees, they appear to be a Single A baseball team. They really SUCK offensively and defensively.
Is this really the best that the National league has to offer?
If it is , the American League should win the World Series hands down.
I hate tracking these games that go past 10:00 pm for all you folks.
It really cuts down on my sleep time.
I don't think that I will do it any longer.Last edited by zfurman; Sun, Sep 20th, 2015 at 11:51 PM.
