Hi everyone, I'm due in January and looking for ideas on names. We don't know the gender of the baby yet. My husband's name start with "A" and mine with "T". But i'd like our baby's name to start with "A" so it really narrows down names to pick from. Two other people in our lives that I would like to incorporate their names into the baby names are the grandmother (Carol Ann) and mother (Christine but goes by Chris).
I definitely don't want a name that's too unusual that kids will make fun of but I understand one cannot prevent that from happening.
Anyway, if you have some good names for me please post Thanks. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Thanks guys. There were some names on our lists but I had to discard them due to people I work with either have the same names or their children's have the same names. For example, I was set on Amelia for a girl but can't use it anymore. Grrr.

Alora (Alaura) is one I like for girls.
Aidan is nice for boys. I worked with a woman who has a son named, "Ace", if you're looking a little outside the box.

No need to focus on girls names. I am sure the father has a say in this, and probably deep down knows what he will prefer. If it's OK for most men / women to carry the same purse or wear the same shoes / boots as everyone else, then am sure exception should not be made for kids names.
