Was at heartland walmart today and csm refused to match local flyers since the stores were not popular and not competition. I told her that I have been price matching these stores for a long time and she said that there is new policy from the walmart head office that smshe just printed and will distribute to all the cashiers.

Has anyone else encountered any changes or challenges?

Ohhhhh yeah Walmart and other stores (RCSS) all are getting picky. I have actually stopped price matching from small stores.

Yes, its true....Walmart is changing their policy right now, it will slowly be carry out by all Walmart eventually....sad.....But I have read some where that No Frill will stop price matching soon. I m guessing Walmart knows about and is adjusting their own policy according to the market changes. Kinda like how they took out free shipping when Target left Canada.

Is that a well-known location for bad service????? I filed a complaint once online when the cashier challenged me saying I cant give the coupons at the end, i have to show her when she scans the item (not sure why) and that i cant use a coupon for every item, i should only be allowed to use one for the whole transaction. Never heard back from the store manager for the complaint.
