I love my wood stove but it is indeed a lot of work...I've seriously considered a pellet stove but the pellets are not readily available in my area, I would have to travel to get them and then store a couple of months supply during the winter, etc
Another mild day here +10!! some wind but not too bad...I've had a small leak in my porch/mudroom in the past (its been good lately) so having someone get up on the roof today to tar some of the shingles to see if it will help before the snow starts to build up and start melting....

Ah, nice and white here...
Kindersley is a town a few hours away from here, and their RCMP put out this warning because of road conditions - parody of Ice, Ice Baby

Last I checked it was -7 and windy. Winter hit with a fury last night. Yesterday I had on a leather jacket and windows open. Today I have snow up to my knees!

It's snowing! It's snowing!! 2-4 cm for today I might string a small set of colored Christmas lights in the living room just to add some ambience

There are some strange white puffy things floating in the sky,
some so large they block out the sun!
Weather person says they'll be gone soon, thank God.

Going up to +7; downright balmy and spring jacket time again!
Natalka, I can NOT imagine wind-chill temps of -22!!! You poor kid.
Well, maybe the temps today and rain overnight will kill that white stuff on the ground; there isn't much, so fingers crossed!
