Typical over analyzing of coupon.. "cant be combined with any other offer".. The other offer being a sale..

Oddly, kellogg's rep told me that it's up to the store's discretion when I called them.. So if we are looking for any form of backup going forward we may not get it..

This is why I don't understand why the manufacturer puts that condition in. If anything they should specify "cannot be combined with any other Hasbro coupon/offer". Especially since they don't really care if the retailer has another offer (ie. a sale).

Toys r us is THE WORST. I remember saying that last year. They don't know a blessed thing about coupons and your chances of fighting with them are pretty high lol.

That's pretty accurate. I was standing in line behind a lady trying to use the P&G coupon on a package of diapers and the cashier wouldn't let her because she said the expiry date was today.

Last year I was told that I can't use coupon because "we aren't an authorized distributor"..

A person could go insane trying to deal with their staff.

Also I tried using basic logic like "these coupons have been sent out prior to black friday/christmas with the intent for customers to use them and most hasbro items will be on sale" --- didn't get me anywhere.. Was like talking and watching the blank stare from the other person until she said "yes but they can be used next year"..

ugh. So much hassle with them - cost me $84 oop..

Wish I could but I have lots of unused gift cards.

I was going to tell the lady to take her coupon to SDM the diapers were cheaper and they have no issues with coupons (clipped out of the paper, anyways) and better hours, but she was pretty frustrated and left quickly.

They must not do well with coupons period and are making up any sort of excuse why they can't take them. Maybe it's time for a call to head office or a Facebook post.

YES!!! They do and you can buy them with a TRU GC.. Only good thing about that store...

Just to add - the only reason I even bothered was because I was getting 5xPie Face game which is apparently really hard to find now etc.. I randomly met up with a Hasbro rep in the Walmart isle who told me they won't be coming in anymore between now and christmas and if she were me she would get one and put it on ebay.. HAHA.. She also said that TRU DOES have them so not to listen when they say they don't.. She was just there.. I'm hoping to recoup my $$$ with the 2 extra I bought - others are for gifts..

The coupon should expire at 11:59 PM. I felt like calling a supervisor, but if the customer no longer wants the item or they're in a rush, it would be a moot point. If TRU wants to push away their customers, that's their business.

Once, I got that from SDM when they had the personalized coupons emailed to you. One store took no printed coupons whatsoever, even SDM coupons that were emailed to me and had the scannable bar code!! That's okay, I found a new SDM.
