We do most of our shopping at Co-op and Sobeys, so freebie bags. Safeway also has free bags, but they are really flimsy, not good for much.
Did some decluttering today. Have some groceries to pick up, nothing costly.

mrs.sunshine welcome back
-so pi**ed off right now the "homedics" brand humidifier has leaked that I paid 80.00 for on sat -well we didn't catch it in time as we were downstairs talking to daughter/hubby -so cleaned it all up and thought to myself maybe I didn't turn it tight enough-nope today tried it this afternoon and it leaks around the base -so now there is a little lift in the wooden floor where water was sitting on it and a small hairline crack on the corner of my bedroom nightstand (which is only 2 years old)
-just took it back and got my credit card credited -gee don't want to try another one
then I sat out my last blueberry muffin and hubby decided to have it -ugggg I wanted that with my tea
-just sent an email off to the company to complain -don't know if they will do anything but hey I really wanted toLast edited by coupon girl; Tue, Jan 26th, 2016 at 06:03 PM.

You are doing better than me. 4 hours straight last night and that was a record!!!
I am back too! Wow! 23 days! No eating after 7pm, iced capps, coke, or social media! I feel refreshed spiritually and am physically a little lighter too. I deleted the social media apps from my phone and am not putting them back on. So my check-ins may be less frequent as I have to use my desk top.
Water probs drive me nuts too! Hugs!
The short of it?
Went to Great Wolf Lodge for a conference with hubs. Had fun.
Started an online course (my last in the series and last required for pay raise) AND...upon completion of the course, because I will be eligible for a significant pay raise due to upping my education, I am hoping to return to work 50% part-time in September so I can allow hubs his turn at his career and be home more with the kiddos. I have to work it out with the principal to work for our child care scenario and am praying he is willing (I can easily work 50%, but it is the schedule that has to be agreed upon by both parties and I would like mornings)."There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

Hope everyone is well.
Back from the wilds of suburbia, where the brats & I were spoiled rotten by my Mom. The funeral was a bit tough, but it was good to be with bff's family (so nice to see all the nieces and nephews have grown up to be wonderful people ). bff is coping as well as can be expected - everyone is still a bit numb. Her Mom is staying with her for a bit, until things settle down into a new normal routine. She was joking that her Mom will have had enough of cleaning up after her within a week and go back home.
Brats are sulking a bit - between being spoiled by my Mom, & later with my other bff (who chauffeurs us around town), they are not impressed with my lack of treat-dispenser skills. Doesn't help that I spent most of today doing chores instead of playing tug and baking doggy cookies. Sigh, so not my priorities, but the dust bunnies were taking over.
Will catch up in the next few days, better go check on the sleepyheads (not sure why they're in their beds, their curfew isn't until midnight).
Night all.

@coupon girl I just saw your post about the humidifier! man that is so rotten ! ( leaking and damaging the floor ) I hope it is at least in a place where the damage can't be easily seen? I still have my tiny one running sitting on my desk here with a 1.5 L bottle of water upside down in it. Often I am nervous the cat might bump the side of the bottle, so I keep a close watch on Hamlet.

I have been out of town this week working in another branch with a new employee. I was supposed to be here until tomorrow morning when i would drive back for an afternoon meeting but now they are calling for snow. They are not calling for a lot of snow but since they are in the snow belt and at times 5 cm turns into 25 cm due to lake effect snow I decided it was best to drive back tonight as today is clear. Normally I would extend my stay to not lose time in the branch but I need to work Order Desk on Friday so extending is not an option.
Not much else going on as I have been hotel living which is nice to get away but looking forward to getting back. I have so much on the go right now I just want to get some stuff completed and off my plate.
Have a great day everyone

A long time ago, I used to carry coupons in my wallet. They seemed to become more plentiful and I had to get a separate small pouch for them, and now that seems too big. My grocery list would fill a small business card, but now I just use it to list the points to be shopped for. You would think I'd be spending less with less items on my list (and less time through the aisles looking for all these items) but my tracking tells me I'm spending more.
I wonder if when things get better financially, if things will go back to the way they were, or is this the new norm? I don't think they'll go back to the old coupons (less strict wording on coupons, longer expiry dates) but I wonder if there will be half as many as before?

Greetings, everyone!
Well, it's bright and sunny here - above zero, which is bizarre!
Glad I'm not out driving today!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
