The craft store Blitzy in the USA gives you the first $10 free on your first order. (Even to us in Canada) After that you can use the USA micheal's craft store coupons to get 40% off one item. It is a great way to save on craft supplies. http://blitsy.com/ref/o2wydq

American Apparel groupon is BACK!
20 dollars for 40 dollars worth of merchandise in stores only, or 40 dollars for 80 dollars worth of merchandise online only.
It isnt valid until tomorrow, but this could be a nice treat for a loved one for Christmas this year

For $8 right now but use coupon code, extra5, before putting your banking information under ADD PROMO CODE and it will deduct $5 so total cost is $3!
It looks like it is both shippable item and online as well. But I am not entirely sure. I did contact them but no response yet. Nonetheless $3 is super-cheap!
EDIT: it is shippable as I am told by Wagjag so you will get the magazine in mail for $3 for 12 issues!!! Awesome!Last edited by Arvilish; Wed, Dec 2nd, 2015 at 02:05 PM.

If you want inexpensive magazines, go to www.discountmags.com. They have great sales all the time. I just ordered 3 years of O magazine for $4.98 per year, similar price for Martha Stewart, $3.99 per year for Photography magazine for hubby etc.
Sign up for their emails. When you see a sale you like, order the magazines you want but have the initial order sent to an American address. I use a womens shelter's address. They do take Canadian credit cards. After your order has been processed, (keep checking back after about 2 weeks) go directly to the magazine's website (not discount Mags). You will be able to locate your order with your email address or the US mailing address in their Customer Service section. Change your address to your Canadian address. At most you will miss one issue. That's why I pick a US address like a shelter, somewhere the magazine will be appreciated.

Just joined Kiva.org, an organization that funds micro-loans to people in developing countries. I love the idea that the $25 I saved in groceries can be given to a fish woman with 5 children in the Philippines to help grow her business.

You can get cash back through ebates.ca.
The cash back amounts are often different. A really good example was the Entertainment Books. On Cyber Monday all books were marked down 40%. Ebates Canada had an 8% rebate while dot com was 30%. I ended up ordering 4 books for around $11 each.
If you're concerned about converting to US you can get a $US credit card at BMO (and RBC???) but buy your US dollars at Tangerine (formerly INGDirect) or similar where you'll end up paying half the bank credit card conversion of 2.5%.
BMO charges $25/yr for their $US card unless you spend $1,000 US/yr when it's waived. No problem for me.

dededi,
Thanks for the LIKE.
FYI: You can work a $US credit card to great advantage. Example (ignoring exchange rate to buy $USs)
Suppose $100 Canuck = $100 US
You buy $100 US for $100 Canuck
Many sites allow you to pay in Canadian or US but the also adjust the online daily to reflect in any change in the dollar. Hotels are a good example.
A hotel charges $100 C or $100 US
Suppose the $C falls to $0.80
The hotel will now charge $100 Canadian or $80 US
If you bought $US when we were equal then you pay with your $US credit card and you get a $100-$80 = $20US (or $25 Canadian) savings.
I've used this strategy to save many $$$$$$
If our dollar is rising then I pay with a Canadian card.
