I use dollarama netting on my ripening berries. I had 151 cups raspberries my old plants last year.

Take a little peek under the soil or feel around a bit. Radishes are very fast growers.

We put a 5x9 foot raised bed in the back yard this year and a smaller raised bed for my rhubarb. We decided to go with 12" high and dug the soil down on both beds really deep so we won't have issues with any weeds and then put good organic soil in. Yes, it was a ton of work, but I am glad we dug and not just put down a weed cover.

One recommendation I highly will make is if you are making a raised garden--Take the time to go the extra mile and dig your garden down really deep before putting your wood down. You give your deep rooted veggies much more room to grow and it is so much better in the long run.

As well we got spruce so it should last many years. The cost of the lumber was about $68.00 or so.

(The bigger bed is fully covered so critters can't get into it)

Both are beds are doing spectacular! I got a harvest of spinach, and a cucumber almost a foot long already! I planted about a two and a half weeks ago. I don't know what I am doing right, but I hope it continues!!!

I have a bunch of veggies growing in pots so we will see how it works out. But I bought at rcss a plant called ketchup and fries. It was on sale so I thought I would give it a try. The top 1/2 of plant is a cherry tomato plant and the bottom is a potato plant. It is grafted and says non gmo otherwise I wouldn't have planted it. Will pot it tomorrow and see how it goes.

I picked 114 cups of strawberries so far. The lack of rain is stunting the growth on some so I have resorted to watering the garden which is a first.
