Rib fest. The older son is volunteering and he and his dad love ribs so we are meeting him for dinner. The younger child and I had dinner at home as we are not fans, but we will of course enjoy the fresh cut fries.

If I made this again, I would omit the thyme and add lots of sharp cheddar.

pan fried pork and salad.
trying to cut down on carb and sugar from our food due to health reasons. very little to no pastas, breads, and sugar. If anyone has ideas for dinners i'd love to hear from you

...its been such a beautiful weekend..suppose to be gorgeous this afternoon too...went to a BBQ yesterday evening and we had hot dogs, ribs, chicken, bbq'd bread and tossed salad..all good! earlier in the day I was hungry so I turned on the bbq and toasted flatbreads and made mini pizza with tomato sauce, oregano, parm. cheese, salami, pepperoni, ham, orange pepper, green onion & mozzarella, there is still one leftover in the fridge. Looks like another lazy deck day so will probably throw something on the bbq later

BBQ ribs and chicken. baked potatoes and asparagus. Chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Son coming for supper - he had mused a while back that I hadn't made meatloaf for a while, so I'm making that, plus mashed potatoes, cooked mixed veggies, and pickled beets.

Dessert - if we ever have anything sweet, we eat it pretty much hours and hours later - maserated strawberries - for those who want, can have with sponge cake, with milk, or as it comes.

Last night was too hot to cook or even think of food. But apparently you have to feed your kids or you can get in trouble.
So.... DS was cool with ceaser salad with chicken leftover from Friday night (and he had leftover homemade fries too)

Tonight- The man is in charge and I will eat whatever he serves!
