Not to mention the rotten produce.... Went yesterday to stock up on yogurt and was going to buy some organic spinach.. they expired in 4 days and were plastic containers filled with slime. I asked the guy if they had fresh, nope just what's on the shelf.

I was also going to buy corn on the cob and it looked so dried out and old...
Also all different varieties of tomatoes were ripe and soft...

I went to CO-OP and their produce looks freshly picked..

I guess I can also add you only need to look at the lack of activity on this thread to see what a failure Safeway has become....

    It's 1 point/dollar.

A BC Ferries ticket valued at around $16 would require spending $6,500. A 6Xs card would take it down to about $1,100 for a $16 ticket which is only about a 1.5% reward.

That said, I concentrate/strike if there are bonus offers (few and far between) like Buy 4 Eggos get 1,500-2,500 points especially if I can price match at a lower price. For example:

B4G2000 on Eggos at $2.50 each

    4 with cash ($10) gets 10 points

    4 on their credit card = 6 x 10 = 60 points

    4 if it's the B4G2000 offer is $10 spent = 2,000 + 60 (on their card) = 2,060 = about $5 on the ferry ticket so about a 50% savings.

So I think the card by itself is not that good a deal.
Ya I read that the card is really only beneficial if you shop at the connected retailers which are mostly in BC

Does anyone know if the Safeway loadable offers combine?

I have 20 AM if I buy 2 soups and a 30% if I buy 1 soup. Do I need to buy 3 soups to get the offers or will 2 suffice?

    Thank you.

Safeway workers in SASKATCHEWAN have not had a contract since June 21 2014
The Union gave 48 hours strike notice on Monday and Sobeys responded with a 48 hour Lockout notice.
I think we are all aware of how horrible things are becoming on the customer side and I ask anyone that shops at Safeway in Sask NOT to cross the picket line.
These workers are everyday people like us and just want a better life. Please respect their right to demand better for themselves!

I wouldn't be surprised to see Sobey's close these stores to send a message to the unions. They do have the excuse that they're loosing truckloads of money on the Safeway side. Would be lame for them to do something like that.. will be interesting to watch.

The stores are in very good locations so I doubt that will happen and we all know these stores were highly profitable before Sobeys stuck their fingers in them.

Rexall has very good AM bonus this weekend: redeem 285 AM($30 value) to get 100 AM. Also spend $30, get a $10 gift card. Hopefully they can be stacked.
