Thursday morning coming back from Metro i fell up the front stairs of our house and broke my big toe! I didnt bother going to the hospital because i know from experience that they dont do anything about broken toes unless the toe needs surgery. Ever since my 2 knee replacements, i seem to have problems with my legs to walk up stairs. Its like my brain cant judge the distance my foot has to climb. So i lift my leg up but it doesnt quite judge the appropriate height! Hard to explain what i mean..
Anyway, so far ive broken the same little toe on my left foot 4 times and now its the big toe on my right foot and that one hurts like a bu**er! I cant put a shoe on because its too tight, i cant wear sandles (open toed or other) because the sandle rubs on toe. My big toe has turned a nice shade of light purple in some places and dark purple in some other places. And to top it off, DS said yesterday and im probably going to lose my toenail. And im kind of feeling sorry for myself! lolThis thread is currently associated with: Metro

maybe a small splint would help?

Sit down and raise your foot up it will help with swelling. I broke my toe a few years ago then trying to walk my dogs across the road I almost got hit by a car because I couldn't walk fast.
Just take it slow and be careful not to bump it. Done this too many times!Coin Out:

Ouch!! So sorry that happened to you...are you sure they can't do anything about it, like a splint or toe-cap??
As for your knee replacements....that is not good news to someone who's waiting for the phone call to have one!!
Yikes??
I hope you feel better soon, Snow.

Ugh. Don't even mention "wheelchair" to me!! I was in one for months after I broke my leg (complete bedrest, 3 surgeries, wheelchair, to crutches, to cane) and hated it!!
Thank you, @SnowFlakey , for making me feel more confident about having that surgery!
