Temperatures in the low thirties and or humidex values in the low forties were experienced across Southern Ontario on Tuesday. A repeat of these hot and humid conditions are expected today. Another hot and humid day is likely again on Thursday.
It will be an inside A/C day for me

the thunderstorms rolled through about 2:30 this morning. drove through some areas without power.
it's still really humid. going to be another scorcher!

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
Issued at 05:24 Thursday 08 September 2016
Rain, at times heavy, is expected today, tonight and Friday.
Rain will to continue in Western and Northeastern Newfoundland today before spreading to the South and Southeast tonight. Precipitation will then continue through Friday before tapering off Saturday morning. Current forecast guidance indicates that an area of total rainfall amounts between 50 and 80 mm is expected to cross the Island from west to east. Rainfall warnings have been issued for the regions currently with the highest chance of seeing these amounts. A special weather statement remains in effect for adjacent regions that could see higher amounts if the area of heaviest rain shifts north or south.
