If she can wear silver, most anywhere - try Best Buy (yes, they often have sales on their jewellery), Amazon, Peoples

I would suggest Sears however their online ordering has not been reliable for many customers.
The Bay's fine jewellery offers only birthstone bangle bracelets with a charm. And earring studs for November.

Walmart.ca offers some simulated and genuine birthstone necklaces. Not sure on prices.

I'd also suggest seeing if any local BIA jeweller might have a promotion on the item.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

The Ben Moss jewellery store at CF Masonville Place is going out of business. Store promotion indicates 60% off gemstone jewellery. Offer ends Dec. 10. https://www.cfshops.com/masonville-p...9f8000001.html

Which birthstone are you looking for? Some birthstones are much pricier than others (i.e. April's diamond compared to January's garnet), and quality plays a big factor. Most mall stores and chain jewelers will put the low quality stones in common settings just to move them. Frequently, you can see it in the ads. The photos in the flyers have all been colour corrected to show nice vibrant colours and then going into the stores, you see dark, muddy colours.
I love the online process, but I usually buy across the border as I seldom find the quality I'm looking for in Canada. Many of the online jewelers give at least 20% off, but you need to trust them to be your "eyes" to not ship you a product that looks nothing like the photo. If you like some of the pricier gems like the sapphires (September), ruby (July), and emeralds (May), there are places that manufacture the gems in a lab, which brings the price lower significantly. Or there are places that also deal with Swarovski crystal, which can also bring the price down while giving that eye catching colour.
A necklace will not need the same durability of a ring or bracelet, so I think something like crystal would last quite a while before it needs to be replaced.
