Didn't make it to Safeway until tonight and they were out of everything, basically
No oranges, no ML Craft lunch meats, no Johnson sausages, etc. Ended up getting 3 KD and 4 Oasis... and 23 Lean Cuisine / Stouffers with my fpc expiring tomorrow, gave the last 11 to my in-laws.

Cookie,
Remember, you can ask for a Rain Check and make sure they list the Airmiles on it and then get them to register it in the book at CS when you purchase,
Or,
You can prepay and get the Airmiles immediately on the receipt.

My store is iffy on the whole prepay thing, it depends on the staff, and it was a skeleton crew when I was there, no manager or anything. After some debate on whether they were giving rain checks on blue friday items, they did finally give me 3 rain checks though.
Ron, I agree, I got lucky. I did ask them about if I needed to pay for them all separately or anything but after another group conference of the only 2 working, they decided just to put it all through in one transaction.

I was looking to book airfare from YVR to LAS and Vegas hotels with air miles for late Feb so almost 2 months before my trip. I have found WJ flights to usually be the best (i.e. require fewest air miles). This time around, no WJ flights to be found even though I looked for flights from mid Feb to end of March. AC and Delta flights that popped up required way too many miles. Keep in mind, I have Onyx and I am supposed to see more reward flights available.
For Vegas hotels, I calculated the value to be about 5-6 cents per air mile, which is less than what a cash mile is worth (~10.5 cents).
As air miles will likely devalue in 2017, I will have to scramble to figure a way to use up my air miles.Last edited by Speedy69; Mon, Jan 2nd, 2017 at 10:51 PM.

MoneySense video opinion on AirMiles (mind you they make the mistake of not accounting for bonus offers and how we here maximize them). Stil;l, I plan on keeping my balance as close to zero as possible this year as I don't trust the b@$t@rd$:

Moneysense? more like Nonsense. He clearly states that cash miles are worth 10.5 cents and then uses a flight example for 20 cents a mile then he recommends cash miles????
Not mention like you stated about bonus miles or the 25% discount for BMO CC's...
I guess it's true anyone can have a VLOG

MoneySense is actually a good magazine but it's focus is the mass middle more naive audience. I'm always taken back by their yearly evaluation of credit cards which ignores the tie ins and more sophisticated users. But in their defence they level the playing field to evaluate them all on their basic commonalities.
Now let's see. What was the return per dollar spent on Shell's coffee and car washes? 😁
