I hear you Skippy, I wasnt doing anything either. Its still on a as I feel like it basis, then its mostly wiping the counter, putting dishes into dishwasher. once in a blue moon making some sort of a supper.

I do hope you try the laser therapy. I also found a wonderful phyisotherapist who incorporates yoga into into the sessions. First session today, am pretty sore and we didn't do much, however she showed me a simple breathing exercise that she said helps alleviate pain. It did seem to help after we finished the exercises. Maybe you can find one in your area too, I think that both of these therapies combined may help to alleviate pain. I will keep you posted.

I'm so glad I found this thread. Not that I'm happy to see that there are others experiencing daily pain, but rather to know I'm not the only one who does. And it often feels that way. I'm having a horrible night right now dealing with my trigeminal neuralgia. My left side of my face is in severe pain, it actually feels as though my tongue is swollen (it isn't) where my jaw connects is throbbing and I have a feeling it will be a night where I fall asleep with the heating pad crushed against my face. The worse part is I'm currently on carbamazepine for my seizures and my neurologist said that it happens to be the drug of choice for TN so he simply increased my dosage. That is leaving me nauseous daily and I need to call him in hopes of scaling my dosage back, but I'm afraid I'll be forced to either decide on a lower dosage and worse TN pain or stay with the dosage and deal with daily nausea. Pfffft.

I haven't posted in quite a while, sorry! I didn't forget about you all. So sorry to hear that so many of you are struggling with more pain. Unfortunately that is the reason for my absence on this thread as well. I have some interesting info to share though! I have been seeing a physiotherapist for the past few months for my pain condition. For those of you that don't know, I was in a bad car accident 4 years ago and suffered injuries to my back and neck. I have since had severe pain all over my body. Several Dr's have diagnosed me with fibromialgia. My Dr. Has always believed that there was something more going on. The physiotherapist doesn't have me doing any real exercise, he believes that I have Central Nervous System Sensitization Syndrome. I have uploaded a couple of pdf files that explain the condition in detail, the one is short and explains it very simply. The other article is a summary of all of the findings on pubmed, it is in medical terminology. Basically from what I understand, what happens is that when we get injured our nervous system becomes stimulated. Once the injury has healed your nervous system should return back to normal. What happens with central nervous sensitization syndrome is that the nervous system does not return to normal. Your nervous system becomes "sensitized", hyperactive. It's like someone turned the button "on" to your nervous system and now it won't shut off. Everything starts to hurt you, even the lightest touch. Your muscles spasm, you have frequent headaches, feel weather changes long before they happen. I also have frequent bouts of nausea and dizziness, jaw pain, hip pain, neck pain, back pain, fatigue, trouble sleeping, overall body pain, inability to exercise, too much activity causes me worse pain. This has been linked the Fibromialgia. I thought this may be helpful to those of you who like me have suffered an injury and have felt worse pain over time instead of getting better. Please be aware though, that this is not a very widely known disorder. My Dr. Had never heard of it before, but was willing to look at the medical documentation I had found.

This is for the people like me who love their heating pads!!! Or for those who are thinking of investing in one.

I invested in an infrared heating pad a little over a month ago. The one I purchased has jade stones in it that warm up to heat the pad. The idea of these pads is that the infrared heat is supposed to help heal, not just heat. Also the heat penetrates much more deeply into your body (muscle tissue). I have found that my infrared heating pad has been well worth the investment. It actually relieves the muscle pain, helps with headaches, relaxes muscles. It feels to me like it is helping to heal my muscles. I purchased the Therasage infrared heating pad from amazon it costs between approx. $165.00-190.00 depending on which method of shipping you choose. I find that I can not use it all day long, like my old heating pad because you actually will start to sweat. If you use it for a little bit, a couple of times a day it seems to help a lot.

So started physio again after surgery. I found this wonderful gal who does physio, yoga along with acupuncture and myofacsial release. good thing seems to be helping with the back issue, however she thinks I need to see a rheumatologist as my other aches and pains I experience seem to be systemic. This sucks I just want to feel better. I also fell on nov 11, then did a 360 on our deeply rutted icy roads and ended up facing the the wrong way which seems to have jarred my back some. Once I have some more money together I will try the lasertherapy too. Im frustrated as our health care system seems to only want to treat one symptom at a time!

I've been experiencing incredible pain for 2 days now. Today it has been continuous from the moment I awoke. I'm fully medicated but sadly it has not really helped
Would you please offer prayer on my behalf.
    Thank you.

So tried accupuncture yesterday too. I love my physio yoga practioner. I seem to be making some headway. Its my right side that was injured, but she found that my left side is super sensitive. So sensitive thst its not pain that I feel but more like a tickle, and not a really funny one. Even just a brush of her hand on my skin on that side was incredibly sensitive, im now wondering about the condition mentioned above. She did say after so much trauma our bodies become overloaded and carry the trama and need to be released, i find the accupuncture and cranial sacral release to be helping. Will wait and see. still on pain meds but noticing changes.

I'm so sorry so many of you are enduring so much pain...I have fibro but I'd call the pain moderate except for the TMJ (jaw pain) I get every few months or so, and my arthritis and old joints.....So I really can't complain..for my age I'm doing okay.

I do send up prayers for all SC/ers each night, particularly focusing on those who are going through any physical or emotional pain...I'll continue to do so and I only hope all of our prayers can help alleviate your pain.....

I thinks its the cold weather, cause I am very sore today! Different pain and while tge meds are helping with the other aches and pains it seems my incision area is really flared up with stabbing pain that comes and goes. Worse than its been fir awhile

Omg I had to come back and read this after my last session at physio. I tried accupunture last thurs and now i am in awful pain, dont want to move. Had to up the pain meds! Physio lady also said that i was super sensitive to touch. She also said that my body was overloaded with pain. Its my right side that was injured, but when she put the needles on my lesft side she found that it may be causing my issues! im so scared that it is this or something similar that I have and i will have to live with constant pain forever! Plus im scared it will be an uphill battle with the insurance company to. But so glad you posted this info. Will share with my dr and specialist

I just wanted to touch base... a few things have changed... I am still in pain every day... but it is still wayyyyy less. Normally at this time of the year i am lucky to get out of the house once every 3 weeks... now i am going couponing about twice a week... i finally checked my pride and jumped on a wm scooter.... wooooooooow does that ever help! Now i am able to do more and not be as exhausted when i come home. By managing my life better everything is starting to work better... denial did not help and reality and reflexology does. Here are some changes i have made that are helping.

    1) I buy dinners like healthy steamers and keep those on hand... if i am having trouble cooking i sure don't want to be cleaning either and this fixes both of those things and gives me a healthy meal.

    2) I keep disposable plates and forks, knives and spoons on hand... and disposable containers to cook in... that way on the days where i can hardly cook i don't have to worry about clean up.

    3) Like i said I use the scooters at walmart... LIFE changing! Exercise is important... but i would rather do my shopping i have to and be able to stop exercise whenever i happen to need to that day. Now that i am using the scooters most of the time in walmart i am avoiding substantial pain storms... you know what I mean.... we over do it and mess ourselves up for a good long time after. BTW... those scooters really move in some stores!

Those simple adaptations are making a huge difference... I still can't work... i can't even predict the days i can coupon but things are much more manageable now.
