hi again-sorry I have not been on this thread in awhile and sorry for everyone's pain. I am here because the pain has gotten bad the past few weeks-mainly that I have been having more spasms again and just absolutely exhausted everyday despite not doing any more than I have been doing so I have had to cut back a fair bit in stuff I am doing. So I have been having to rest my back more and also more naps because I just can't keep my eyes open. Now I am getting this terrible pain in my right shoulder that started yesterday morning and I thought first it was a spasm but it just keeps going and it is very sharp so I was thinking maybe it is nerve pain? also yesterday my right leg fell asleep and just didn't wake up no matter what I tried which was odd. I went to bed and had terrible pain last night while I tried to go to sleep. I tossed and my leg woke up but now is in really bad pain all the way down to my foot. I am so confused on what this could be now? if it is all related? My right ankle was locking alot yesterday and today it is really stiff as well. sorry to complain soooo much but I just need to get it all out and I know this is a safe place to do that. thanks for listening!

I hope that it is now under control. Just do what you can do even if it is just resting. If your symptoms are out of the ordinary, you may wish to
visit your own doctor, or a clinic if need be.

Complain all you want, we're here to listen. Besides we all understand.
Just a thought - I have a harder time when the weather is colder with muscle aches. I know you're used to the cold weather & you've had some really scary temps (ok, scary for us wimps in the city). Sometimes for me, the aches don't happen right away, but prolonged exposure to the cold makes it worse. Also, if I've dashed out without dressing like I'm headed out on the Arctic trail & catch a chill, the aches are worse.
It's interesting you mention shoulder pain, I was dealing with the same thing - sharp pain in my shoulder that comes & goes. In my case, I know I slept wrong (I woke up with my arm all tangled in my comforter). It went on for about a week, then suddenly vanished.
Hopefully you'll feel better soon. & if you do something for 15 minutes, then have to rest for 45, so be it. Nothing to be ashamed of.

thanks Skippy and Andit! It has been fairly warm here the past few days and I think Wednesday it was +5!!!! I sat outside and closed my eyes and I felt so hot it didn't take much imagination to pretend it was summer. lol but yes the colder temps could definitely be causing problems. I have been stuck laying down most of the day but managed to wash my hair close to lunch time and then had lunch and was back down again. The nice thing is that when I have alot of pain, I am also quite exhausted easily and I am able to sometimes sleep through some of it. my shoulder seems to be calming down a bit and if I lay down my leg will feel a little better so I have been taking it easy and reading and sleeping. I felt a little better to go outside and then slipped on the ice just a little bit ago and almost fell but I think I twisted something. lol oops. I finally got through to the assistant of my specialist to make an appointment which was a job in itself too! I have been phoning and leaving messages for about the past month and a half. grrr. no calls back at any time either. I managed to phone on Friday that she picked up the phone and made the appt. March 16. Let's hope he doesn't cancel again! So I can ask then what is going on. My mom said that when I point to where the pain is, it is the same place as the scar where I had the chest tube put in and where a rib had to be cut also. I don't know why the rib was cut exactly but the healing process was like having a broken rib. anyways Felix has been somewhat amusing so it makes it a little fun. He is currently making the funniest noises he makes when trying to catch a fly. lol well I have gone on and on long enough! Thanks again for the support!

I am in sheer agony, have been most of the day. Subsequently I passed on lunch and dinner, so I wouldn't puke.

I want to say how brave everyone is on this thread, unless your in intense pain youself its easy to give advice and such but to go through the pain,be able to talk about it and recieve support and advice from others also in pain makes this a very special thread.
I dont know how you do it but you must be very strong brave people.God bless you all and may something be done soon to take away your pain, if at all possible.

oh right for anyone who is interested-my specialist's assistant called and apparently he is away on the 16th that my appointment is booked so it was rebooked for April 5 which is Easter Monday also. I hope they don't keep canceling on me like the last time. Well the good thing is now I sort of expect it so I don't get so annoyed/surprised when it happens. lol

I am so sad that this latest bout of pain has lasted so long.
I know that I'm partially/mainly at fault because I don't want to stay inside all of the time. But I want to experience life.
My greatest fear is that it is going to get worse sooner than later. Later was not suppose to come sooner.

So sorry to hear you're having a rough time. I find the weather is not helping things any, too much rain & the damp weather gets right into your bones.
Hope things get better for you.
Skippy, how are you feeling these days?
