After all my fears, can't do any Chiro. on me because my bone density sucks! As for my brother, he's in a better place, but was too early.
Accupuncture was good for awhile, back again tomorrow.
Can't get into my own Dr.till next Wednesday.
Until then, I'm basically laid up, as I can't stand on my left side.

Sorry you are such agony Skippy maybe the accupuncture will be of some help. I pray you find some comfort soon. Constant pain can wear you down and make little things seem unbearable.

Well the pain continues, I've pondered self surgery, but DW has advised me against it.
I'd like to punch out the acupuncture dude for Friday's treatment, which really hit the spot-not! and would give anything to see my Dr. before Wednesday.
I still can't walk outside the home, but I have saved a mint from not going to Timmies.
I know others suffer, but sometimes it is hard for me to see beyond my nose. However I would never belittle anyone else's suffering.
Like them, I need to realise I am never alone and take it one hour(no longer day) at a time.
Please pray for me and others on the board with their struggles.
    We're here for one another.

I don`t suppose ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones would work?

There`s always that old stand-by, duct tape, but I somehow think you might get in trouble....

Hopefully the migraine gets better & you get relief soon.

Lately, I've been looking at info about mobility scooters. I still haven't been able to re-learn how to walk properly in the past 3 years since the 2007 flu shot paralyzed me and gave me a stroke. Walking with a cane and rollator has been very difficult, slow, and painful, and with only 1/3 of my former muscle-power, I'm now so worn down with the pain, stiffness and crippling, that I want some relief.

Trying to find the right one for me, and figure out a way to pay for it. Getting lots of info from the Net; but the dealers sound like car salesmen and dispute the actual manuals the companies provide, so I'm feeling a lot of confusion about the facts. I need to get one that can handle the winter roads, hills, that I can store outside, that I can battery-charge-up safely and efficiently in my townhouse situation. Dealers say you can store it outside in a shed or under a barbecue-cover; manuals say don't let the batteries freeze; DO NOT charge a frozen battery or it will explode.

Such a lot of fun researching this topic. Some of the luxury models are 6 thousand dollars, and look like a little jalopy! And there are the rounded-front feminine models, and the wicked slanted-headlight masculine models.
Couple of guys fishing from a dock; next to them a guy in a mobility scooter fishing from the same dock. Guy scooting along the side of the road over to the riverside. Lady scooting along to the shopping mall. Guy scooting along in his "Road King" smiling like he's king of the road.
Reading the warnings in the manuals almost killed me laughing. One guy banned from stores because he would deliberately knock over the center isle displays in his scooter, and then take off. At 4 miles an hour, they caught up with him and he got banned!!!
It did me good just to have the fun of researching them!!!
I've copied one of the websites here for your amusement.

Hoping to figure out some answers to my challenges and hardships, and change my dreams into reality, and get relief from the constant pain.
    Wishing you all well!

Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Yes, I've been thinking about it seriously for awhile now; there has to be a positive answer to this ordeal of pain. So, with all the money I've saved with sales and coupons, etc., I have a better chance of saving up for a mobility scooter now. My stockpile is still quite good, so I can channel some of my working income towards this goal.

It sure makes a difference in quality of life if a person can get some relief from the pain of their condition. For me, it's less physical stress, exhaustion and injury, because my muscles are so damaged, yet I still have to do everything with only 1/3 of my former strength. Knowledge is power; the more you know about a topic, the better prepared you are to choose the best product and get the best deal possible. Being on SC has definitely increased my self-confidence in the marketplace.

So these days I'm doing my research, and waiting for the right time to buy what will suit me. This week I talked to a sales rep from the city, and I was able to discuss the matter intelligently, and ask some of the right questions. That's just the beginning; one of these days I hope to make it a reality.
