Spotted sign on utility pole, westbound on Rymal Rd W at West 5th St. (Hamilton Mountain)

Lane restrictions between Garth St. and Upper Paradise March 27 to October. Expect delays.
(So the two lanes in each direction plus centre turn lane will be made reality this year.)

If you have travelled in the Garth St. and Rymal Road West area over the past three years, you may be thrilled to know that the St. Elizabeth Mills project will start next year. There's hope for eventual end to the construction in the area...as a pedestrian, I look forward to it!

Stonechurch Rd. W. at Garth Street-road reconstruction until mid-August. Bus & road detours are in effect.
    https://www.hamiltonnews.com/news-st...l-late-august/

Drivers will be ticketed if caught driving on closed section of Wilson St. W. between Valleyview Dr/Amberly Blvd to Seminole Rd. in Ancaster. 16-Ancaster bus is detouring from Amberly via Cavendish/Hamilton Dr to Meadowbrook for the summer (in both directions). Sidewalk on south side of Wilson W is messy and some construction excavations are on properties as well as city allowances. Avoid.

Ancaster-Wilson St. W. road construction continues until November. New asphalt and sidewalks have been put down between Meadowbrook dr and Valleyview Dr-not obvious if the lighted pedestrian crossing and intersection will be finished in time for school starts in September. HSR bus 16-Ancaster remains on detour (keep seeing people wait at the eastbound Fortinos bus stop which is out of service).

Montgomery Drive construction continues. Crews found hard rock under their work area, so that is delaying progress.

Avoid driving down the closed part of Wilson St. W. in Ancaster. Yes, the roundabout end got some new asphalt and just done sidewalks almost to Amberly Blvd but past that intersection east, there are multiple big open trenches and exposed pipes on the north side of the road and sidewalks have been removed. The sidewalks are like trails of various elevations with dropoffs-be careful.

Noticed the sidewalks along Rymal from Upper Wentworth to Upper Paradise are mostly updated. Really happy to see sidewalk on the Airport Ford dealership property as most pedestrians were walking on the lawn during wet conditions to avoid the narrow strip of shoulder at the road edge.
