You are so ready for spring! I intend to check sales at Value Village just to get an idea of what stock selection is like.

The containers from yesterday's walks totalled $3-happy! Into the bank it went. Did not find any treasures on the way to the library but did have a mini chocolate egg at my bank while waiting in line (bowls of chocolate eggs for customers to enjoy).

This morning I did wash dishes (of the other family members), ironed my shirts and did some hand laundry. Goal is to stay out the kitchen/house as long as I can as Mom plans on two roasts and I'm sure she wants to bake something. Time management is not her strong suit-I did state that she aim for 8pm finish on her culinary tasks/cleanup.

Ok ladies, I'd like some help please. Dh is currently between waist sizes in jeans. He has several pairs that are too big and some that are a little small/tight. How can I shrink or stretch these jeans? I'm going to try washing and drying then on hot to see how much that helps to shrink them.
    Thanks.

    Evening everyone,

Dh treated me to Chinese with his income tax refund, we ordered and brought it home. The kids went out with MIL and BIL and were treated to Rockin' Johnny's. Ds1 bought a new pair of sneakers while in town and I will reimburse him as his old ones needed replacing.

MIL is hosting Easter tomorrow so no cooking for me which will be a nice change to not host.

DH & I ventured out to home depot for some items we needed, a replacement clothesline which hopefully will be installed on Monday as it's supposed to rain tomorrow (Sunday).

Wishing everyone a great day AND Happy Easter to all

I'm confused as jean's are sold in 1" waist sizes for example 32", 33" ++++ so are you saying he's for example a 32.5" size only 1/2" in difference in size because then hot water & drying may help but a 1/2" is not a lot to be concerned with in my opinion especially if he wears a belt.

Men's jeans are sold in 34", 36", 38". Dh is inbetween. He uses a belt, but I know that he'd rather they fit better before using a belt.

I have heard hot water works to shrink jeans but have personally never tried as someone who is taller I never wanted to risk losing length

I'm 5'10" tall, Dh is 5'8" but long in the torso and short in the leg. I bought him 4 pairs of jeans from the two recent second hand sales, so at least I didn't overpay for these newish jeans that don't quite fit right.

Led lightbulbs in the nwt have a 50% rebate we can apply for up to 200 dollars a year. We put all new led bulbs in the new house in March.

We moved into the new house last weekend after 5 weeks of painting and renovations with a few left to finish by Wednesday this week.

I was livid with CIBC 2 weeks ago. Rather than setting our loc to be taken from our joint account as instructed and as our provided forms we signed said....they set it up to be taken from bfs 16 yr old sons account which his ex has signing authority on not he or i.

Then they tried to charge us fees for their error.

My husband and my dad have both had extremely bad experiences with CIBC. I have chosen to never bank with them. I hope that you are able to get this sorted out since it was clearly their error, not yours.

We did get it sorted out. It basically was them trying to pressure usinto opening a chequing account with them. But resulted in the reversal of the withdrawal from our sons account, fees being refunded and them setting it up the way we originally askef for which is out of our rbc joint. (I'm still watching come next payment) i also complained because they still have not provided a copy of our documents.

We had a free offer to pick up a free duffle bag each at casino today. So decided to go for breakfast. Neither kid wanted to come so we went just the 2 of us. I used $19 in free comps to bring peperettes, canned apple juice and chocolate milk home for boys . Everyone is showering and getting ready for dinner at Grandmas now. I will toss a load of laundry in the washer before we leave.

Wishing everyone a fun, loving, and glorious day!

Well, I just finished having a good cry - in a happy way, mostly.
These are recordings of two Ukrainian Easter songs - from 35 years ago. We were in Edmonton, visiting my oldest sister and her family.
My dad had such a beautiful voice - well, so did my mom. Dad's voice is the stronger voice you will hear in the songs; Mom's is the lead alto.

Listen if you like - the two will play one after the other

Today is the coldest day we've had in over a week, but we still had the Easter Egg Hunt in our back yard.

My brother gave me a brief call earlier and announced that he'd be coming down tomorrow with his whole family. He got a job near where they moved to, but he's taking tomorrow off work to move more stuff. His wife, MIL, and 3 boys will be staying down here until Thursday or Friday. I told my brother that I cannot take care of his boys when I have paying daycare kids, which are currently scheduled for Monday and Tuesday of this week. Sure enough, his wife then posted an ad on our local childcare Facebook page. She is offering to pay for childcare for their twin boys Mon-Th this week, but expect it for free from me again. I really don't understand why they haven't gotten their house up for sale yet...it is very expensive for them to do things the way that they are. Their kitchen was the first room that they packed up, so they eat out every time that they come back down. SIL is stable, but still not healthy. They still don't want most stuff to be public knowledge.

11:30pm, I now found my brother's text message asking if I can take their boys on Wednesday and Thursday. I replied back, I'm not one to intentionally ignore messages.

My summer daycare kid's family will be coming to meet us for the first time early Wednesday morning. Our son has a play date at our house on Thursday morning. I booked our kids for pictures at Wal-Mart on Friday morning. I still need to figure out their outfits for the pictures. Like I said before, busy week...before suddenly including my brother's family.
