Good evening all. Dinner was Subway (with coupons of course) This evening I am making pies with the last of my crabapples, I have a crazy stockpile of pie plates. Then I need to clean out my now defrosted freezer so I can fill it back up!
@ Angela273 My husband and I took a weekend trip to Thunder bay-8 hours each way!Sure made for a lot of sitting that weekend but we had fun.

Busy getting ready to head back to university on sunday and of course, have to plan the final shop my parents will let me do. So far I'm at a retail of $276.92 down to a final out of pocket of $47.91, but some stuff in there isn't really a major necessity. @avrose did you get the same Subway coupons we got here in Ontario? There was one for a FREE Panini when you buy ANY drink, so only $2 for a drink and panini, not a bad coupon at all. We got one in the mail and we have a recycle bin at our superbox and I dug through there for some more coupons and was able to get about 6 of them. And someone else sneaked a look through the bin and got another 6 there too.

    Some of the shop...

    Halal Chicken Legs (4pks @ 1.31kg Av.): $27.68 - $16.14(PM NF) + 5,400PC = $6.14/4 OR $0.53/lb
    Pork Chops Combo (4pks @ 2.16kg Av.): $95.13 - $76.29(PM YIG) + 19,000PC = ($0.16)/4
Club House La Grille (4 MIN??): $10.00(RCSS SALE) - $12.00 WUB LaGrille for Fresh Meat /\
    No Name Stuffed Chicken (4): $19.16 - $11.16(PM NF) + 1,600PC(200/$1 NN FBM) + 1,000PC(Per $5 FBM)
    Kool Aid Jammers (4): $12.72 - $8.72(PM NF) = $4.52 (Taxable!!) - $2.00(4 @ $0.50 If I can get the coupon) = $2.52/4
    Janes Ultimate Chicken (4): $59.96 - $24.00(PM Metro) - 2 BOGO($17.98) + 7,000PC = $10.98/4 (Not as good as 8 for -$31.00, but it'll do)

    And a few other items

Cold FX 45ct is $17.97 at WM - $10 mail-out coupons - $10 Caddle rebate = potential money maker or FREE depending on the price you can find. We don't usually use this product, so I put my $10 coupon up for trade.

Beautiful sunny morning here today. But they are calling for a wicked thunder storm later today so it will come to an end. I had to dig out capris since it is suppose to be very humid. I need to pull my summer stuff out tonight. I really would like to replace my tank tops but they don't sell the same kind at MARKS that I bought years ago. I love the rib ones they had and bought about 10 of them but I wash and wear (I wear to bed too) so they are showing their wear after 5 years) I tried to buy new ones last year and had to settle for a different type and I don't really like them. Why change a good thing Marks!

I was smart and brought in the few items I had outside drying.

Today was pizza day at school for DS. Yahooooo! I am getting tired of packing lunches. Easy to toss snacks and drinks and a few loonies .

Well the weather person got it right. It is so humid! I went to No Frills on my lunch to grab hamburger buns and chocolate milk and decided to head home after to put away. Perfect night to bbq the Leadbetter burger patties I got free with Shoppers redemption a few weeks ago Will make a salad to go with it. Easy dinner!

@GoodBoy -I'm waiting to see if VV puts out an e-mail about a Sunday preview sale for Club Card holders.
@jasperandchar -good move on ending the call when it turned for the worse. Yes, that had to hurt hearing that comment.
@Frugalbigmama -the cost of cotton has lots of explaining to do about the current clothing sold in stores. Glad you got your full use of the good items! That is why it can be exciting seeing "retro" or older styles at secondhand stores-more fabric, more density too.

I went to Food Basics solely to get one of the 99 cents Dr. Pepper 2L pops (left debit card at home because I know I would have spent more) this morning. Wonder Woman is on the label. Not doing any walks with the storm watch-rather hoping the now open tulips close up before rain or possible hail. Been a long wait for open colourful tulips this year!

My post got deleted when SC glitched, so I'm going to try this again.

My neighbour was released from the hospital yesterday. I'm going to take her Kindergarten age son with us tomorrow morning to play at the Family Centre.

Our twins are teething and still not sleeping good at night, they took a 2hr nap and I spent most of that time playing outside with our older son.

I have the apples chopped up for my big pan of apple crisp. I stopped for a break while I watch a show. I'll put it in the oven soon, then get the chili started.

I have a $4 pickup tonight. The weather is looking really good for our garage sale on Saturday.

edit: Change of plans, her boys will be getting haircuts so the play date has been cancelled.

    Evening everyone,

Supper tonight was ribs on the bbq with rice.

The muffins I made yesterday were a big hit so I will add these to my go to list for muffins. I have a blueberry, choc. chip, pecan and now a raspberry muffin recipes that I can rotate.

It's supposed to thunderstorm tonight and be beautiful tomorrow so I will start the laundry early. They are calling for 40% chance of showers Sat/Sun, I really hope it doesn't rain as we have so much to do to get ready for the chickens.

Some pretty good sales at FreshCo.

Oh and by the way, I called OMVIC because it's been 2 months his I started my claim, the dealership is totally lying which doesn't surprise me and is stalling the whole process. Anyways I told the man at OMVIC what I was willing to settle for just to get it over with but if they don't agree I will need to sue them, b@stards.

    Wishing everyone a great evening.

My stomach dropped when I received a text message. I no longer have a summer daycare child. A family member offered to care for their. Hold. The mom gave me enough notice to not be in violation of her daycare contract. Ahhh! I really need an income. Dh doesn't earn enough at his job to pay all of our current bills. We have continued to tighten the financial belt and are discussing other ideas.

I'm sorry to hear this but I'm sure someone else will be looking. Keep advertising/word of mouth that you are available.

TGIF! Finally! Well I bbq'd the burgers last night and the storm was brewing. It started to get really windy and decided to say game over and finish the burgers in the oven. (didn't want to worry about the bbq being on and the wind knocking it around lol)

Both boys and I each have a burger for our lunch today (they are huge) Tonight for dinner we are making chicken tetrazzini. Youngest DS loves it. Ribs are on the menu for tomorrow night. Sunday we are going for a free breakfast at the casino with DS to pick up our free suitcase we each get and use comps for breakfast and then meeting for my nieces dance recital.

Today is payday. I like to distribute funds ASAP and be done with it. Every penny is accounted for and extra put in savings since I am planning a no spend May. Lots to do this weekend to get the house cleaned up yet we have so many plans. Not enough time

@GoodBoy -yes, I got the same message! Definitely will pop round in the store to scope out possibilities and visit on Sunday for something!
@Angela_273 -glass half full part is that the parent recognized to give you adequate notice so that connection may be useful in future if her relative changes availability. I don't know if you have considered home schooling DS1 as of fall as the ministry would be paying you to teach the curriculum to DS1 and take him to related activities connected to his learning. But with the younger two children to watch as well plus all cooking and cleaning-that is too much for you. How feasible is the move to the big city if you and DH have an opportunity to assess housing and your employment options? Could you access summer school teaching work in your current area and would there be access to childcare for teaching hours? I know you'd miss your nieghbours who have been helpful when you needed their assistance should you have to move. Is your teaching union offering any kind of assistance to members seeking teaching work for summer and providing other benefits?
