    Hello

I am not sure if people have noticed that my disappearance (or lack of hyper-presence) from this forum. I will be moving to US this July to study medicine. I would like to thank you to all of the SC members for those frugal skills that allowed me to save enough money over the course of years. That being said, I had to get rid of all my limited coupons so I will try to get the best for my bang in the next couple of weeks

For this week off to London Drugs:

    • 2x Enjoy cookies 2x$3 minus 2x$2 LD extra coupon (coupon code: 459999506558) = $1 each
    • 1x Reactine 48 $17.99 minus $5 coupon. The price should have been $34.99 and was marked wrong but I did not get the SCOP. LD is impossible to get SCOP
    • 1x Cottonelle $5.49 minus $1.50 printable coupon
    • 1x Tylenol-150 caps $9.99

    Wonderful news, congrats!

    Wondering why the US, though?
My niece went through medical school at UofS and is just finishing her first year of surgical residency in Ontario.

I only applied to UofS here in Canada and I am waitlisted; I don't want to waste 1 year in case I do not get in here because getting in States is not easy either and I don't want to redo that step. States is more expensive but it would also be very worthwhile experience.

I will miss couponing though. Perhaps I will post my States deal here!!!

EDIT: OMG I got Top T now as well!!!! *wot wot*

Congrats on the big change. Savings through discounts, cashback & coupons, is a life skills which you'll forever be using, especially in the US.

I agree with you about choosing schools that accept you rather than the wait list. Same thing happened to friends of ours. McMaster University med school put them on a wait list but their US university med school accepted them. McMaster's loss and also Canada's loss. They are practicing in the US, not Canada.

Yup, post your US deals here for sure. We will be jealous of what you can get at US stores. Like Target.

If you weren't moving then you could phone the SCOP toll free number to complain about London Drugs and get your SCOP.

Ahh the target! But I will sure miss the friendly Canadian environment Eeee

Too bad I only had until June 15 to decide on US, else I would have waited for UofS. I cannot take any risk!!!

Member @Raeja is in the US -hope she has a spare few minutes this month to chime in on apps and magazines worth seeking for coupons if you won't have access to flyers in US papers *unless you have a roommate or landlord that shares.*

I'd be interested in knowing from time to time what deals/coupons you do find and use in the US. And which Cdn store apps may also extend to their US store offers as well.
@ShwaGirl mentioned Target, so that Cartwheel app. I see 7-11, Whole Foods, Vitacost and more in your phone's future.
@Natalka -good that you mentioned your relative who studies in one province but is doing residency in another province. Did not know that was possible given each province run its own health programs and have their statutes for medical doctors practising as professionals in their own provinces. In Ontario, not all medical students are able to get residencies.
