I'm sure many people already know how to figure out when each type of offer is better, but for anyone who doesn't yet, I did the math for myself recently and am happy to pass it along:
First off, since the 18,500 is a bonus, we also still get the base 1x pts. The 20x offer includes the base 1x, so it's actually the base 1x plus a bonus of 19x.
To figure out which offer is better, we first divide the 18,500 by 190 = $97.37. Then, to account for the fact that SDM rounds down the total spend before awarding pts, we round the $97.37 up, which gives us $98.00 as the spend amount where the 20x offer becomes better.
To illustrate this, we can look at the pts we get from both offers if we spend $98 and $97.99:
On a $98 spend, 20x gets us 19,600 pts (980 base pts x20). The 18,500 offer gets us 980 base pts plus 18,500 bonus pts = 19,480.
On a $97.99 spend, the amount is rounded down to $97 before pts are given. So 20x gets us 19,400 pts (970 base pts x20). The 18,500 offer gets us 970 base pts plus 18,500 bonus pts = 19,470.
Note that dividing by 190 is only for comparing a 20x offer to one where spending the minimum would give us more than 20x (e.g. on the minimum spend of $75, we'd get 750 base plus 18,500 = 19,250 which is more than 20x 750 = 15,000.Last edited by Arjon; Tue, Jun 20th, 2017 at 10:24 AM.

Anyone think these will combine?
-20X pt on milk
-4000 pt when you buy $15 worth of No name, PC, etc products
-5000 pts when you spend $35 or more ($20 on milk and other items + $ 15 dollars on No Name/PC products)

I just purchased Finish dishwasher tabs $6.99 (MIR and CO51) and milk $4.59 (had a 15X point offer). Total bill $11.58 before taxes.
Used 8,000 points for redemption. OOP $2.50.
The points for the milk (760) showed up in the top part of the bill but on the bottom of the receipt I was only given 10 points for the transaction.
Is there some rules I am unaware of about getting points when redeeming? Thanks.
Thanks.

Got some clarification. I was confused because I know I did get points in the past.
You need to spend at least $1 on the item that is attracting the points. In my case they deemed I had only paid .62 on the milk (prorated) and it was not eligible. They were were very nice about explaining and insisted on giving me the points.
Live and learn.

have personal 10x/15x the points offers (e.g. buy ___ product get 15x the points) always had the 'only applicable to one product' in the expanded details or is that new? I know that I used to be able to use those offers for more than one product and am wondering if its changed

For today's surprise point promotion in which we are supposed to receive a card at the store, can I still use coupons to reduce the total? Has anyone tried this and received at least 18,500 points successfully as long as pre-tax total before applying coupons was above $75?
It works for me when there is a general in-store promotion or loaded personalized offer of Receive 18,500 points WUS $75 but I am not sure about in-store card points.
Thanks
