I wish I could say I still coupon, but due to circumstances I don't anymore

However, this year I was determined to still stay money conscious and while I don't coupon anymore I wanted other ways to save money. We had a year of changes from moving, buying a new house, and even starting our family! So this year my New Years resolution was to use up all the points from every random points card/survey/credit card/random GCs I could.

Here was what I was able to redeem throughout the year:
$75 Bath and Body Works from swagbucks (This was in USD - I live close to the states so I was able to shop down there)
$2.82 Bath and Body Works GC from a coupon trade I did about 3 years ago
$10.00 Home Hardware GC I got from a coupon trade again about 3 years ago
$980.00 in PC Points (from credit card)
$1,270.00 in WalMart points (from credit card)
$21.50 in Checkout 51 (had the money sitting for over a year)
$150.00 in free GCs (assorted) from cardswap.ca
$65.00 in Petro Points and used for gas
$12.00 Converted several smaller cards (Esso and some others) to Petro points and cashed out for gas
approx $35.00 of free product from 7Rewards App
approx $100 value in baby supplies claimed from AirMiles
    $20.00 from Ebates

There was also other stuff from finding money, collecting bottles from work, free coffees at McDonalds etc. but I really wanted to keep this just redeeming points and the gift cards I've been holding on to for years! I think I did pretty well and it covered a lot of Christmas shopping and preparation for the baby!

.... Now to think of next years resolution

Wow that really is a lot of pc points

Almost looks like you rarely cashed in any of the points you were collecting

I like that you maximized the gift cards through Cardswap so you did not lose out on their value.
Since you will have a little one soon, may I suggest you focus on three of the points programs to simplify your time spent on savings because you'll want to spend time with baby and also on your own and some time with DH too.

Make sure you have all your various birthday rewards lined up too from your favourite retailers or e-newsletter sources. You will want to enjoy freebies still!
