    Check your Tangerine.ca account for
Savings: up to 2.5% interest until May 2018. Must activate by Jan. 31, 2018--> Savings, TFSA or RRSP savings accounts
GIC: up to 2.25% for 90 day up to 5 year terms
GIC RRSP: up to 2.25% rate
    YMMV

Note: if you get an error message when you try to activate the 2.5% savings offer, go to "Documents' to see if you get a message telling you that you have activated the offer

Update: there is a 2% interest rate GIC available to all Tangerine clients. It's for 1 year.

Awesome, cause I have all my money at Simplii for the 2.97 % offer. I will play the game and move it Once the rate drops in Match.

    Good plan
It's nice that people have some choices to get a half decent savings interest rate for their hard earned money

I'm Still having a problem with Tangerine only offering some of their special offers to some of their customers. Why is it that two members of the same household with equal mounts in accounts and equal deposits are not privy to the same bonus interest offers?

I agree. Some who have received a low interest rate offer from Tangerine, have played a game. They temporarily move money out of Tangerine. The next time there is an offer, they seem to get a higher interest rate offer

Thanks for the heads up! I think that's a good deal for short term GICs. I haven't invested with Tangerine since they were ING. Time to make my savings grow!
