The first doping case of the 2018 Winter Olympics

The 2018 winter games have its first case of doping. Japanese short track speed skater Kei Saito has been suspended from the Winter Olympics after a positive doping test. An out-of-competition test turned up signs of a masking agent. Saito had been due to compete in the second heat of the men's 5,000 meter relay tomorrow - but instead, the 21-year-old athlete will leave the olympic village this morning.

Doug Ford promises to review sex-ed curriculum as part of education platform

Doug Ford is promising to revisit Ontario’s elementary and secondary school curriculum, which includes taking an in-depth look at the sexual education syllabus if elected Ontario’s next PC leader. The PC candidate spoke to media at Don Bosco Catholic Secondary School on Monday, saying the way the Liberals introduced Ontario’s sex-ed curriculum was “totally unacceptable.” Ford said he would review curriculum in all core subject areas and would reach out to parents to hear their concerns.
