Justin Trudeau to visit Hamilton on Tuesday

Canada’s Prime Minister will be in Steel Town today. Justin Trudeau will meet with workers at Stelco Hamilton as part of a tour to show his support for the steel and aluminum industries. The tour was announced last week in the face of stiff tariffs being threatened by the United States. The U.S. has hinted that the decision to excuse Canada and Mexico from the tariffs on steel and aluminum might be dependent on the result of trade negotiations. President Donald Trump urged the quick completion of the NAFTA negotiations in a phone call with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday, amid indications the U.S. wants a deal wrapped up this spring.

Air Canada's computer systems back online following outage

There are still a number of Air Canada flights being affected by a system wide outage. It happened yesterday, causing wide-spread delays for travellers out at Pearson. While the issue has been fixed, there’s still quite a back log of flights that are affected this morning. Air Canada passengers are being asked to check the status of their flights before heading out.

Raptors look to win 9 straight in Brooklyn

Winners of their last eight games, the Raptors will try and make it nine in a row tonight as they take on the Nets in Brooklyn. As of this morning, Toronto remains three and a half up on the Celtics for top spot in the Eastern Conference.

Everybody knows that opening an umbrella indoors is supposed to be bad luck. But is there any truth behind this age-old superstition? Fortunately for those spending sleepless nights pondering this question, there is actually a wacky holiday dedicated to finding out the truth. The aptly-named Open An Umbrella Indoors Day hopes to defy silly superstitions by encouraging people to open their umbrellas indoors and observe the (non-existent) consequences.
