My DH and I both signed up on the first day and then were both asked for ID. Mine finally arrived last week and still waiting for his.

Myself and CSU both applied on day 1 also. I received mine a while ago. CSU has application saying approved and awaiting mailing. Neither were asked for ID. Will splurge on some nice juicy steaks for a kick-*ss BBQ!

My $25 card FINALLY arrived yesterday.

hubby's card arrived yesterday.. he filled it out mid Feb i'm pretty sure (weeks after it opened) neither of us were asked for any form of ID, i used mine today picked up a pizza for dinner and a beanie boo for the kid.. she's thrilled a purple and white panda named boom boom lol

Can confirm.
I was with a friend today who bought a $25 Subway gift card using his Loblaws bread card.
Also, as a goof, we used the self-serve checkout, and it works there too.... you have to select CREDIT CARD though, not GIFT CARD.
Seems that these are cleverly disguised pre-paid Mastercards (check the image attached). When we selected Gift Card as the method of payment, it wanted to scan a barcode... which these dont have, so we tried Credit Card since there's only a mag stripe, and it worked.
On the photo, I've indicated that it's a self-serve checkout... that it was a Subway card that was purchased... and the Loblaws card's last 4 digits shown (as well as the note that it's a Mastercard)

Have had my card for awhile but just got around to doing this. Did it at a self-serve but an employee came over to help me. Totally ok to use it to buy a GC.

I hesitated for the longest time and did sign up on the last day. They asked us for additional ID. There's only two of us in this household, that doesn't seem unreasonable to flag their fraud detectors...

Applied for 4 cards for everyone in our household, I received all 4 card and was not asked for ID. However, all the cards were applied for different times.
