Youngest DS and I are away this weekend for a hockey tournament. So I need to pack us for the weekend and make sure we have good food too! Thursday night I will boil us eggs. Will take pineapple and watermelon for sure. (I make sure we have a good healthy breakfast to eat in hotel room before game so we aren't rushed and going thru Timmies drive thru for a breakfast that I think is awful lol.)
So tonight I am starting on laundry....so much to do! Kitchen needs to be cleaned up and meals planned for the next few nights with leftovers for the oldest on the weekend.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
WOW it has been a roller coaster of emotions. Sadly Bro's wedding is now on hold. We went from a destination wedding, to a wedding here to the wedding being postponed and more than likely will not happen next year.
My soon to be sister in law's Mom is sick and originally they were trying to plan the wedding to make sure her Mom would be at the wedding bu sadly with the news received last week it does not look like this will happen. Soon to be sister in law is now on a leave of absence from work to be with her Mom.
I did receive an email from her (soon to be sister in law) last week and was nearly in tears in the doctor's office as I read the email.
I am currently still under the weather, they think I have a sinus infection but since I was just on Antibiotics for the Strep Throat they cannot give me another round so we are trying to clean it naturally. So far I am not as bad as last week but at the same time I am not better. I spent the weekend trying to get stuff done around the house but also trying to find some down time to hopefully help me get over this.
I am hoping I am all better by the weekend as I would like to do some cooking for sister in law and her family as I am sure the last thing on their minds right now is cooking. I want to make dishes they can just heat and eat or if they do not want them now they can freeze and then take the freezer and just cook. My plan is to see if I can get the cooking done and drop off with my Step Mom as they literally live like 5 minutes from sister in law family. I am hoping to drop the food off there and bro can run over and get it. I want to give the family space right now but want to do something to help and all I can think of cooking.
Going to cousin's house tonight so will get to hang out with the kids and thinking if it is okay with their Mom I might try to make a video with our niece for sister in law to hopefully make her smile. The plan will be dinner, bed time stories and then once the kids are down try to make a plan for my cooking for the weekend. I am hoping to compare flyers on Wednesday and see what I can get Wednesday before the sales change and Thursday after the sales change.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.Last edited by SassyAshley; Mon, Nov 19th, 2018 at 01:57 PM.

Someone was selling a sturdy white plastic laundry basket for $8. She accepted my offer of $5. Dh picked it up, but I’m disappointed. It will need to be washed thoroughly before I even think about using it for clean clothes. Hopefully it’s as sturdy as I thought, based on the picture. At least the person lived in our area, so Dh didn’t have to drive far.
edit: after the kids were in bed, I scrubbed the basket inside and out. I left it to dry in the tub overnight. It looks ok now.Last edited by Angela273; Mon, Nov 19th, 2018 at 11:25 PM.

We are expecting snow today and then a cold snap. Glad we don't have anything tonight. Will continue on the laundry and house cleaning.
Dinner tonight will be thrown together Youngest DS usually loves those type of "feasts" as he call them lol

I agreed to have a daycare family come 1/2hr before my regular hours today. The older child has a specialist appointment that they needed to travel for. I always tell my daycare parents that I try to work with them. Dh only gets stats off for Christmas, so he booked some holiday time in January. I gave my daycare families written notice yesterday regarding the 6 business days that I will be closed in January. This same daycare parent has asked for help finding an alternate childcare during those days.
I had two loads of laundry folded and put away before we ate breakfast.
Edit: These 6 days will be the first time that I have chosen to temporarily close my daycare since I opened it 2.5yrs ago.Last edited by Angela273; Tue, Nov 20th, 2018 at 01:26 PM.

I am excited to see the upcoming RCSS flyer. I was just looking at my receipt for last year when I redeemed for a bunch of awesome food items and a tv for the bedroom and paid .60 cents out of pocket after redeeming PC PTS. I am hoping they have that 1 KG bacon on again but I'm sure they won't.

I have some exciting news to share!
My sister decided not to care for our children for a week while Dh and I went on a romantic trip together. We were going to pay her to stay at our house, but she chose not to. So Dh and I found an all inclusive vacation to Cuba for our family of 5. We are quite limited just because we have 3 children. The trip dropped in price twice, so we booked the holiday at the 4 star resort. We got the last family room at that resort in January, the rest were all booked up. It will be our first time leaving the country with our children. It will only be my second time on a commercial plane. We are going to Cuba!
We are staying home for Christmas this year, so that will save us some money. We will also keep the gifts low key and not go out to eat any meals before our trip.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

I just saw the RCSS flyer starting end of week. The 1Kg bacon is on for $5.98. $1 more then last year but regular price has gone up too (I only bought it last year at $4.99) Will get 4 for sure. May put in car and go back in for another 4. (limit of 4) Lots of electronics on sale with bonus point offer. Will have to look at the flyer closer once I receive it. We leave for the weekend early Friday morning but I will make sure to get up early and go for 7am

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Plans have changed again, I was supposed to stay one more night at cousin's but due to the weather coming I think it is best to head home tonight to be safe. With that being said when I called to say I was thinking of leaving early he said he would come back early due to weather as well to be safe. They are calling for squalls tonight and looks like my whole drive tomorrow I would be in snow from here all the way home. Will leave later today just waiting for his little girl to get out of school so I can say bye. Will see her in about a month for Christmas.
Hopefully the weather isn't too bad tomorrow and I can get some grocery shopping done after work. Mom did some yesterday but because of the stores she went to there were a few things she did not get. As well I still need to plan some cooking for sister in law family. Think I will email my step mom and see her thoughts.
Well better start to pack up here, looks like I moved in as I brought quite a bit with me so I did not have to eat out well I was here. It is covered but ever since Oma passed my eating habits have been horrible with being sick I have had no appetite but not only have not been eating but since my throat has been bugging me I also have no been drinking a lot as swallowing hurt. So now I am trying to get back to regular eating patterns as well as increasing my liquid intake. I was drinking 1 Tea a day plus at least 2 - 24 oz water bottles in a day plus more depending on the day but lately it is just my tea and only part of 1 - 24 oz water bottle.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
