Renovating-East Side Marios in the University Plaza (Dundas) to be three related restaurants (EM, Fionn MacCool's and Montana's). First hint was seeing the new in the Mohawk College student handbook ad (students will be able to use their IDs to get a discount at those restaurants) which stated coming soon. Now there is a newspaper article stating a November opening.

Same deal in Ancaster! The last time I saw a signholder, it was for the Sears Home closing sale!

Closing sale-Up the Nipissing Backcountry Outfitters, Ancaster Meadowlands. 30-80% off. What a shame-only 2.5 yr in business and already closing... (*update-the Outfitters store is empty and available for leasing).

Opening soon-Halibut Fish and Chips, Ancaster (next to Subway in same plaza as Fortinos Ancaster). Second fish & chip shop in town. There used to be an older shop in the same plaza but it disappeared in the early part of this century.
