I told ds yesterday that I’m impressed by the number of recyclables he has been bringing home with him after school. He collects them on his walk. When we go to SARCAN he helps and get change to put in his piggy bank.

Good day, all!
I haven't been posting, but I read yours everyday!
I guess my frugality has been not shopping!
I had done some online looking this morning, went back to it, and gently emptied the items from the cart... I was proud of myself!
I did buy some earrings online, though.
I will have to check my waiting Amazon and London Drugs shopping carts later. LD does ship to store for any items the store doesn't have - there is one Star Wars item I want to get not available here. There is no cost for ship to store.
I have been feeling okay, just REALLY frustrated at my lack of mobility. It has been awful. My physio is coming this aft to help me out.
Happy shopping, everyone, and wishes that you all have a nice weekend!Last edited by Natalka; Fri, Nov 23rd, 2018 at 01:52 PM.

morning up early again oh well have to get use to it as have to be at son's at 6.15 a.m Monday to watch cara -wow it sure will be fun getting Ashlyn off to school with a 1year old in tow -lol but then again cara sleeps from around 11.30 or noon til 2.00 or 2.30 for her one nap of the day
today my dear baby granddaughter is 1-big party at the rec centre first in a room for pizza ,potatoe salad ,fruit and veggie tray ,then cupcakes (not a cake as cara screamed at a unicorn cake at my daughter-in-law's friends a few weeks back )then we all get to go swimming -should be interesting with 14 kids from age1 to age 6Last edited by coupon girl; Sat, Nov 24th, 2018 at 08:50 AM.

Nat-I do so hope the physio can find ways to help you become more mobile-it certainly sounds like you are motivated to do all you can in conjunction with your physio. Having been virtually bedridden by an injury last summer for a couple of months I hear your frustration. I truly thought we would have to sell our 2 storey house etc as I could only crawl up and down the stairs to the bathroom. I do know your situation has been far more severe than mine- IIRC you have been hospitalized more than once and ill for over a year. I sincerely hope that with your pacemaker on board and your medical challenges, that you can gradually become a bit more mobile over time. If I lived closer, I would be wanting to stop by to be your sous chef and help you prep meals! I believe in some of your posts you mentioned that your appetite has improved and you are enjoying meals more again-glad to hear that. I think of you often and I am sending big hugs across our provincial boundary. LB

well glad that week is over. All day meetings & late nights getting home. Clearly it paid off as I just looked at the MasterCard statement & I used it once since last Sunday so no money spent. Yesterday I took advantage of the 1.00 sock deal at Old Navy but omg, I don't think I have ever been in the Eaton Centre on Black Friday and I am not doing that again. What a zoo. I walk by it on my way to and from the train station so going there was easy so I stopped on my way to work, busy but fine. Then on my way home (there was a limit) and that's when it was crazy. But it was worth it because the socks are for a charity thing I do and this meant 20 pairs of cute socks for $20.00 instead of the usual $100.
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

@Giseledta here, homemade perogies, frozen, most commonly sell for $5 per dozen. Those are from both private sales and church groups.
Those would be potato and cheese. Often, more is charged for cottage cheese or sauerkraut ones.

I had a road trip for medical appointments yesterday. The roads were good, but I went through a lot of windshield washer fluid. I arrived early to get a little shopping done, details posted yesterday. I saw an ENT yesterday for a second opinion. We were called in out of order, so it was an hour after my appointment time before I was seen. I then headed across town for my next appointment. I had very little time for lunch, so I hurried into Superstore and bought a bag of cheese buns. I also picked up some useful coupons to take home with me. Next was my neurologist appointment for these chronic migraines. Third round of this medication and I’m not hopeful about it. Makes me tired and sick for a few days. There is a newly approved medication that he suggested. I’ve been signed up and will potentially receive this medication for free for up to 2yrs. Dh and I have some research to do before potentially starting this medication in December. It has been available in the US for a few years, but they only have info available for two years. No long term study info available. My neurologist doesn’t really have any other suggestions. This medication is very expensive without being in this first group in Canada...complicated decision.

@Angela273 my mom has suffered migraines my whole life, I had had two both post pregnancy so can’t even imagine managing. My oldest had his 1st at 6, but the doctors suggested sometimes the early onset means you will grow out of them, fingers crossed because it’s been close to two years and he is 18 now.
Yesterday he needed to go shopping for work shoes as he is on his feel all day and then at least three days it’s a double. The restaurant staff all recommended Doc martens or Blundstones (ouch). We no longer pay for his stuff but in this case we were making the exception. Well I was very pleased that soft moc gave him the mall employee discount knowing he was just a coop student and it was a generous discount. He went with the Doc Martens and I know this is going to be so much more comfortable for him. Then he took his dad to the restaurant for lunch and DH said the chefs came out to compliment him on his work, they have also offered him a job so I am very happy to see he is succeeding.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
