KINDERSLEY RCMP TRY TO RELEASE ELVES

Crackle and Poppy spent the weekend behind bars. They were going to be released today, but when officers opened the cell door, they discovered that Crackle and Poppy had escaped.

The recycle container, which is placed just outside the cell door, was emptied all over the floor. When Cst. Wilson entered the Detachment, early this morning, he observed several dozen cans and bottles strewn about the floor.

Cst. Wilson stated, ”I`m pretty sure the elves were looking for something to drink to celebrate their escape.”

As Cst. Wilson was looking for evidence amongst the cans and bottles, Crackle and Poppy entered the detachment through the back door.

In order to convince the officers that the mess was not caused by them, and they were not looking for a drink, both Crackle and Poppy offered to provide a breath sample.

Cst. Hill was called in to administer the test. The result was a “pass”. It appears there will be no further charges against them, so they were released to go their own way.

Cpl. Durocher could be heard telling them, “Stay away from here!” as they left the building.

S/Sgt. Blais echoed Cpl. Durocher’s thoughts, and added, “We only have 15 more days to deal with these guys. They have become a high priority for us. If we have to bring in more officers to deal with the elves, that’s what we will do.”
