I needed laundry detergent and crackers anyway, and my coupons for Purex and Ritz were expiring at the end of the month so I used them up. Also, I got that great binder that I plan to use for my coupons (my current system just isnt working out anymore, I have too many coupons!). The receipt says I saved $2.40 on it, but these things usually sell for around $10 at Walmart so I think I saved quite a bit more than they assumed. Anyway, here's what I got today:

Shoppers Drug Mart:
- 2x Purex @ $2.99 each = $5.98 - 2/$1.00 coupons = $3.98 (saved including coupons = approx. $8.40)
- 4x Ritz Crackers @ $1.49 each = $5.96 - 2/.75 WUB 2 coupons = $4.46 (saved including coupons = $7.10)
- Tax @ .78
Total Paid = $9.22
Total Saved = $15.50
Canadian Tire:
- 1x Gillette Fusion Razor @ $5.19 - $5.00 coupon = .19 (saved including coupon = approx. $14.80)
- 1x Venus Razor @ $5.19 - $4.00 coupon = $1.19 (saved including coupon = approx. $13.80)
- 1x Zipper Bunder (to use for my new coupon filing system!) @ $1.59 (saved = $2.40)
- Tax @ $1.56
Total Paid = $4.53
Total Saved = $31.00
GRAND TOTAL PAID = $13.75
GRAND TOTAL SAVED = $46.50

nice! i've been thinking also of changing my coupon stash to a binder system... definitely may be easier to file through all the coupons!

I need something for my coupons too but I need to be able to bring it with me, as I ALWAYS find things that I didn't count on needing a coupon for and then because they are all with me, I have the coupond handy. Good shop, though! I bought 3 more baby Purex this weekend when I already have 5 sitting in the laundry room because I have NEVER seen it go this cheap, especially for the baby kind.

thanks everyone!
and yes, that is the binder you bring shopping. i know it may seem like a pain to bring a binder in every store you go to (which is why i avoided this system for a long time), but i found that when i'm out i see a bunch of clearance items that i miss out on because the coupon is at home in my "trading" envelopes and by the time i go home to get them and get back to the store, the clearance items are gone.
so this way, all of my coupons will be in one spot, easy to get to.

I'm currently using two small 100 page photo albums, one for food and one for non-food. It's working well, but I think the binder system would be even more effective. I want pages that hold 4x6 pictures but I haven't been able to find them yet.
I think with a binder in a re-usable bag it wouldn't look too bad. I don't carry a big purse so I need something to even manage the little photo albums. With the binder you can have your weekly flyers too for price-matching.
Any ideas where I can find the clear sheets? (Besides Walmart, mine doesn't have them.)
