Casino Rama (other side of Orillia) They just send the offers. I'm guessing to lure you in since they aren't making any money off me lately!

Yesterday my modem stopped working I am sad and really really bored. I am giving it to my sister to exchange for a new one because she works in guildford (Surrey). It took me all night to be on. Shaw chat dealing twice with their tech support. The last one asked if I had a wired device I said “no I pay for wireless internet to have wireless signal.” Boy oh boy are they two screws short of a nut.
Good thing my sister was awake last night to ask her if she could do this for me.

Today I am going to see what I can make with a pound of lean ground beef. What would be tasty would be a play on Sheppard’s pie. Usually I use roast for my Sheppard’s pie but ground beef would add a different texture component.

Anyways I am going to go clean my dishes so I can make something to eat.

We outsidd for about an hour before lunch. We were starting to get cold, so we headed inside to eat luch, which consisted of last night’s leftovers. Boiled Swiss chard from the garden, rice, seasoned pork chunks, boiled mixed veggies, and buttered bread for kids that didn’t want to eat rice.

I used nap time to prep supper. Small beef roast is in the oven with an onion and a few garden carrots. I peeled and diced the last of my garden potatoes. I’ll boil and mash them later. The plan is to have leftovers for supper tomorrow night, since gymnastics is starting up again.

Cook once, eat twice! I am doing this more and more. Less time I spend in the kitchen cleaning dishes the better. I cooked up lots of stuff on Sunday washed dishes as I went. It fed us yesterday, today my lunch and dinner tonight and same for tomorrow! Really it saves money and time too because the oven won't be on at peak times tonight and tomorrow.

I went to WM this evening to buy ds more underwear. I saw that they hadn’t changed the Crayola erasable pencil crayons that I had SCOPed on Saturday, so I SCOPed another pack.

Snow day here for the kids. Freezing rain etc good call. Of course always on garbage day! My recycling bins were overflowing since I did a cupboard clean out so I hope they pick it up before the storm hits.

Dinner tonight is taco salad for youngest. ( I plan on having it for lunch) Lots of leftovers for dinner for everyone. I took a roast out this morning and put in sink to thaw. I will cook it in the oven tonight after 7 I decided. (cheap time) and then that is dinner tomorrow with gravy, green beans etc. Will save a few slices for lunch sandwiches on Wed and Thurs for DS

I have officially started shopping for Christmas 2019! Hollister clearance sale. 9 items for $57 (free shipping over $50) 8 fancy Hollister boxers and 1 T-shirt. My boys love love love name brand boxers but I refuse to pay $20+ each. It has become my tradition to buy them lots for Christmas but I left it late this past year and had a hard time getting a deal/sizes. So I am on top of it this year woohoo!!

My brother and about two or three of his friends have enjoyed rock concerts at that casino in the past couple of years. They don't stay overnight but drive back.
I have noticed that Young and the Restless actors are now appearing at Casino Rama. I remember when they were younger, they had a Toronto agent book them for mall appearances!
I am going to look at Rama's website to see what is coming up for shows this year. Thanks for sharing your casino offers, @Frugalbigmama !

@Giseledta -tell your oldest not to toss sentimental items (bought before bf came into life or from relationship) just yet but box them up (learned this tip from Gilmore Girls' Lorelai) and put box somewhere in a closet or downstairs for a future time when the past elationship does not stir up major emotions when discussed. That way she won't be like me, missing something that got tossed out in the early days of mourning a breakup and later realizing that certain items are no longer available for sale elsewhere or they cost the earth to replace. I still miss certain CDs I bought before a relationship but I had tossed post-breakup during my sad days/cleaning fury. Good for her that she has somethings she wants to part with.

Sunday-loved the walking and light powder snow. I wanted to buy 2 food items at Rexall but the single cashier on duty had a lottery customer taking a long time and I had an internal meltdown and decided to shop elsewhere (I returned items to their shelf location). I did get to stop at Farm Boy, where I could not find the maple syrup cookies (not in two spots) and I found out that Tradition Juice is not carried at the Hamilton store. Did spot 2 for $1 VEL energy bars and 2 for $3 Ceres juice tetra sale (4 flavours on the shelves: guava, Secrets of the Valley, cranberry kiwi and one other...now forgotten). Checked out the veggie burgers in the small freezer section-they went up a dollar since last year to $7.99 (4 pk). Two varieties have my interest and I will check each week's flyer for the next $5.99 sale. The energy bars (liked the fruit/nut one but the deluxe seed and nut one tasted like a stale Rice Krispie square with nuts and seeds and was a little tough to chew) kept me from getting hangry on the walk home. Had a snack and beverage prior to my library Internet session thus preventing me from boinking from a long stretch without food on a cold day. Few cans were found on that trip home.

Yesterday-kept noticing how the DVD remote was not able to turn off the DVD player (light was on most of weekend; I did pull out the power connection then put it back in and eureka it works fine now) and that exiting Netflix did not show screen of all the apps--just saw a black screen (not ok). I tested the batteries and decided a visit to Dollarama for AAs (in case the tv remote batteries go next) and AAAs (for DVD remote) was necessary; dropped off the accumulated spent batteries that were in the living room most of December at Fortinos. Was feeling like sleeping during the morning and turned back home after the dollar store visit. Within 30 minutes of getting home, the sleet began to fall. I took it as a sign to continue watching Tidying Up with Marie Kondo that day (managed to view all 8 episodies, during which sibling made remarks and I told him episode 2 was the one he needed to watch in order to tackle his stuff now that he has a week off work).

So far, I have changed one bank card PIN and still need to change the other one. Plus need to change passwords on email accounts and many social media sites, then update my sheet of passwords (January homework). I'll be getting 2x The Simons points on my kitchen towel transaction from last week as it was over $30 and the other two transactions were under $20 each for my birthday reward (I'm a member of The Simons program). Sephora freebie has been claimed. Am waiting for the Harvey's free burger offer and Value Village coupon (and maybe the Bay's $10 off $50 instore shopping coupon) still.

Upcoming thrift store sales (yay for email newsletters and alerts):
Wed. Jan. 9-40 % off activewear at Value Village for women, men and kids.

Fri. Jan. 11: Salvation Army's 1-2-3 sale. $1 kids clothing, $2 t-shirts/sweaters, $3 dress pants. Plus there is a 40% off picture frames coupon good until Jan. 31-limit 6 frames per guest. I've printed my coupon off in case I find a frame I like.

I got my refurbished modem last night after being without internet not data for 16hours. My sister said there was 4 other people there with modems in bags as well as her. My Ssdi is a different then the last one it’s going to take getting used to it. I haven’t tested it out around the building yet.

I hurt a lot today I didn’t get very good sleep, s diagonally above me were moving furniture at 2am this morning. I had enough after I called down to the dude working the night shift he said he couldn’t go up there at first then he said call him when it’s happening then he’ll go up there back to he cannot leave the desk. He told me to call the cops I said how logical is that for me to call he cops when I don’t know where it’s coming from exactly or which one is moving furniture starting at 2am and I called u at 4:30am. I was just make a PN about it and I will complain to management about my non sleep issue.

I really need garbage bags but I really don’t have any money at all. Maybe I can ask someone whose taking me to my appointment today.

I tried to ask a friend for money but they said no. So I asked another friend for money and they said no. So I thought that’s the last time I do anything for them nice or get a deal on anything I will say no.

I need to leave now chat later.
