Coupon Girl my Oma actually got them behind her eyes when I was in my mid teens and because it got into the tissue behind her eyes, they never cleared and had them until she passed away. It was horrible, she would literally take chunks out of scalp trying to get to the itch and the pain.
I lost count of how many specialist she saw including that Opa took her to Brazil for treatment but because it was behind her eyes there was nothing they could do but try to manage the pain.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Yes I have a family doctor that I regularly see and I tell him my concerns/worries etc. I even saw him on Thursday we talked about stuff like that already and I had informed him what was going on. I do not like making trips to the ER I am called a frequent flyer for that reason. I was told to go by my psychiatrist from mental health I went every avenue I knew before going to the hospital. I believe it’s a mental health issue or something along those lines. But neither mental health nor medical said they couldn’t do nothing for me. When the system fails you what do you do? I have to continually advocate for myself because it’s just me always I do not ever have an advocate, advocating for me medically and mentally. When I go to the hospital or any medical place.
It’s difficult having a cognitive learning disability which means I think differently from others I don’t usually understand how others think something or get to that conclusion or simple things like figuring out money like how to pay for something or tying my shoes it took me 8 years to learn how to tie my own shoes. Simple things to everyone else who take them for granted I have to work triple times more harder then anyone else to comprehend anything and everything.

@Giseledta I'll admit to sometimes getting the sale priced kids Band-Aids (once is was Dora the Explorer for a small pack) just to have a few around for the week I might need a daily or twice-daily bandage over a healing cut. Haven't looked for them lately but I keep checking Shoppers' clearance area near the post office for food, personal care and snack deals.
Bird seed...last night I realized where the zippered bag came from that I saw in the basement. It was leftover seed from a bigger bag meant to fill the now not-in-use bird feeder. I meant to toss a generous cup of seeds out this morning but got sidetracked removing ice from the downspout as the sun was past the house (the upper pipe is still jammed because I did not check the pipes yesterday or before 10am when Ms. Sunshine was mostly over the front of the house). Since we've had the cold days this week and Mom nor I have not been taking out breadcrumbs daily for the birds, it's time to treat them and whatever else comes to the yard to some seeds (through the squirrels can be quite pugnacious over a score like seeds).
This morning, I was intent on ensuring that the last two reduced price mangoes were peeled and diced (the skins were wrinkling), that half of the sweet potatoes bought yesterday were peeled and diced and roasted with seasonings and that some of the clementines and bananas were also on the table. Plan is to have all the fresh fruit gone by Monday morning so nothing is wasted. I had the leftover chicken strips from two days ago plus remaining seasoned rice for breakfast, along with some fruit.
I'd like to make a batch of banana oatmeal cookies tonight or a chiffon cake. I don't plan to get a birthday cake this month (50 on Monday-must get health card photo done then) as June is when I really wish to celebrate.
Speaking of birthdays-happy early birthday to Natalka (her day is tomorrow) and any other SCer celebrating this weekend!2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

@greentires4me Is it possible you have something affecting your thyroid or something interacting badly with your medicines? The body temperature drop and shivering are meaningful--your body is trying to deal with something and you need that medical interpretation but see if you can recall what is different from the past 72h and if you felt off after ingesting something.
It's awful how the healthcare team accused you of not hearing their supposed calls for you when you managed to get your various labwork done and spent hours waiting...check to see if the hospital has any policy that you can refer to to complain about how the team spoke to you. Doctors and nurses operate in silos of their own due to individual statutes regulating their respective professions then add in the administration keeping their reign known to everyone working in the hospital. Egos, yes, they exist.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Pretty busy day here but it is good, I am happy with everything I was able to get done although it took a bit longer then I would like with my finger. I had various rubber gloves around the kitchen for different things, one to wash dishes, one for produce and will need one shortly for my buns.
Laundry is almost done, last load is in the dryer and when I am done here I will go down stairs, grab it and fold it.
Today was my meal prep day, I have made Butter Cauliflower (it is Indian Butter Chicken but with Cauliflower instead of Chicken), just need to make rice and than that is ready for lunches. I also made Portobello Pot Roast in the Instant Pot (although to me it is more Portobello Mushroom stew, it has carrots and potatoes in gravy with mushrooms). I now have Potato Buns in the bread machine, once the dough is done I will turn into buns.
Trying to decide if I am going to make Chicken in Creamy Spinach Mushroom Sauce or Creamy Chicken Parm Tortellini.
Well time to go grab my laundry and get that done and then to decide on dinner. Have a great afternoon everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Hope those who are feeling unwell will soon get better. Lovely weather here-about 12 sunny degrees so I am airing out the house. Went for a walk and did a few errands. Yesterday was nice too so I drove out to Banff and swam in the hotsprings. Watching my friends little ones tonight so I should rest up a bit this aft-I am like coupon girl and usually don't sleep very well. Must be my age.

I get up early some mornings but tend to feel like sleeping again within 45min-1hr. Sometimes not-sounds and light have been other early rising factors against my brain's will to stay in bed. Perimenopause has my number! The carb cravings can also derail my sleep or anxiety about a matter if I don't let something go or write out whatever the issue is and possible solutions or obstacles.
Noticed that a snowstorm system will visit Southern Ontario again early Monday. That's going to put a kick into my plans to get my card photo done pretty darn quickly in the am.
Chinese New Year-saw a Brita ad on thespec.com -looks like a charm is available in specially marked red Brita pitchers this year.

Last night I spent quite a while at No Frills, but I came out with some great deals.
$154oop + 51,100pts earned. I pm’d cheese slices and used $2 in coupons.
I bought 4 trays of chicken thighs $1.77/lb, bag full of cucumbers (they were 1/2 the price of individual cucumbers), 6 packages of soft tortillas ($1.22 each after points value, my kids love soft tortillas but haven’t tried this brand yet), milk, Ritz crackers, Kellogg’s cereal, no name graham crackers, oranges, bananas, chips, Royale toilet paper ($1 coup + 1,800pts personal offer), Activia.
Can anyone tell me about the Activia points deal? I bought some yogurt at $2.97 each and was happily surprised to see 1,000pts per yogurt on my receipt.Last edited by Angela273; Sun, Jan 27th, 2019 at 08:14 AM.

Yesterday I popped into dollarama and am so glad I did. My fav discontinued hair product got2b beach trippin was on the shelves for $4, I bought what was on the shelf - 4. I never had a chance to stock up when this was discontinued last year. This product leaves your hair soft and my bf uses it on his beard as a conditioner.
@Ciel I know you are looking for a discontinued product - check out dollarama as I never expected to find this product again.
Also I went grocery shopping but only spent $65 so I missed the $75 promotion. Unfortunately there was someone behind me in line, otherwise I would have bought cat food to reach it. Next time I will grab something extra before I head to the checkout.
Off I go to the pool and hot tub at the Y.

@Angela273 not sure if you know there are some new coupons out for Activia Yogurt. just to let you know there is also a Tear pad that I found at Walmart with over $8.00 savings on Kellogg’s product . You can check the Dollar&Cent thread for all the new coupons.
Some of the Loblaws banner store have I store Points when you buy Activia yogurt not sure what’s the deal at your No Frills but Loblaws has 2000 points WUB 2 (650) tubs. Hopes this helps.
